Divided Grifix (Grifix Subtype)

WARNING! These tiers and traits only apply to the DIVIDED GRIFIX subspecies, and not to the normal grifix. Any traits from the normal grifix that are not specified here remain the same for the divided grifix as for the normal grifix.

SUMMARY
What differs the divided grifix from the normal grifix is that they are extremely unstable. What does this instability consist of? Well, basically, when Andromeda and Mikky Way made the egg, Andromeda’s pony genes mixed with the Grifix ones and, being incompatible, the two types of genes constantly crash, making the body, magic and mind unstable. The instability differs from grifix to grifix, but it mostly causes crises now and then. Those crises threaten the life of the Grifix dangerously. Physical crises manifest through strong accesses of pain that can be caused by even the smallest thing, such as tripping on a rock. Magical crises are strong magic oscillations that can crack the gems or cause magic leaks through the corrupted areas. They also cause strong pain. The mental crises are mostly similar to panic attacks.

Due to the chaos going on in their bodies, these sphirix can have some really strange traits, such as crystals growing on their bodies, horns and other stuff. Almost anything can happen to their bodies, so the traits below are just some of the most common ones. If you wanna use anything that isn’t listed there, contact a species moderator about it and ask if it works or not. Their bodies are a total chaos, so rules don’t really apply.

physical features

Physically, they are generally the same like the normal grifix, but they have additional features that are often present on their bodies, but it is also common that they just look like a normal grifix with nothing different.

These features are:
✦ Horns, usually on their head, but can also be anywhere else on their body. They can have one horn or many.
✦ Missing wings. They may be born without wings, but commonly they have something else coming out of that area, but not always (there can be corruption scars, crystals, horns etc.). Usually the grifix with winged sphirix are more likely to have wings, while the others are more likely to be born without.
✦ No freckles. They may lack freckles, but most still have them
✦ Gem conditions. Their gems may not develop right, have cracks and many other conditions that usually don't occur on normal grifix.
✦ Corruption scars. The corruption scars are areas around sensitive spots on their body, usually without fur. These areas can look different on every grifix, some only have furless areas, others have strange glowing skin or magic leaks. The corruption scars usually form around their gems (almost all grifix have them around the gems), eyes (can cause blindness), horns or the place where they’re supposed to have wings if they don’t.

Sphirix
The sphirix of the divided grifix strongly reflect the chaos in their bodies, more than their physical appearance. They can take some really strange shapes, such as being more animals of the same species, animal fusions or mutated animals. Still, they can’t take the shape of god sphirix (intelligent creatures).
The shape of the sphirix remains the same throughout their life, being unable to change even as a kid. Still, strong changes in their life can determine the sphirix to change shape, but that happens in extremely rare cases.
When a grifix has a crisis, be it physical, mental or magical, it manifests even stronger on the sphirix. The sphirix loses shape, dissolves, breaks into pieces and splits (that’s where the term of “divided grifix” comes from). The crisis can even cause the sphirix to temporarily duplicate or split into many versions of itself. Depending on how long this effect remains, it can make a huge impact on the grifix’s personality, causing symptoms such as split personality, multiple personalities and other disorders. The effects can even be permanent in the case of a strong crisis, making the sphirix to remain divided for the rest of their life.

A sphirix can technically break into up to seven pieces, and each must have at least one gem. During crises it can divide even more, but naturally the sphirix gets back together after a while. In the case the division is permanent, if a sphirix "piece" doesn't have a gem they fade away and dissappear. This litterally makes a piece of the grifix's soul dissappear. It can result in memory loss of big chunks of their life, or certain aspects of their personality to be completely gone.
Magical and mental crises have stronger effects on the sphirix than the physical ones.

Sphirix tiers (remain the same as with the normal Grifix regarding what animal they take the shape of):

Animal count (they are usually all the same species):
✦ One animal - common

✦ Two animals - uncommon

✦ More than two animals - epic

✦ Animal family (ex: two siblings, a female with more cubs etc.) - legendary

✦ Different species animals - mythic

Mutations:

✦ More heads - epic

✦ More limbs - epic

✦ More tails - rare

✦ Chimera of the same species - rare

✦ Chimera of different species - legendary

The sphirix have a name containing only one word, but in the case of a sphirix made of more animals the names have a meaning together (ex: Ice’s sphirix is a fox with six cubs, and it’s name is The Cold Storm Froze the Lake from the Rocky Mountain Top. The names of each sphirix form the name of the full sphirix: Cold, Storm, Froze, Lake, Rocky, Mountain and Top.)
