Selenara Scroll I
"I hope you'll be more prepared than I when you become Queen Nara. Perhaps you can unite the Grifix together once again…"
Selenara looked at Queen Eclipsa, a small wave of concern yet understanding in her words. The Grifix haven't exactly been in good times as of late after the short reign of Queen Rosa. Some are still feeling the effects of King Umbra however, tensions rising again with how Eclipsa has made herself.
"I can try Eclipsa...I understand what you mean but that may be difficult. There are many Grifix out there who still are on edge or iffy because of the past reigns. Umbras tyrant ways, Rosas unexpectedly short reign, and your, um, your seclusion from the village. What if they don't see me as what I want to be? Especially since you're my mentor, they may be afraid."
"Yes, I understand Nara. That is why I taught you differently. That is why my ways I've prevented from rubbing onto you. The Grifix needs a Queen, a decent Queen. You have those capabilities and plus with the village. That is why you were chosen."
Eclipsa looked out the castle window at the village below, watching Grifix talk and more. Her gaze trailing all along the village. Landing on Metheor Dust who was training with some dummies. She closed her eyes and signed, looking at Selenara who was now talking with a guard.
"Besides, the Ancestors said you would fix the mistakes. Bringing prosperity and more back to the village as if Starla was Queen again." Eclipsa thought to herself, looking back out the window to where Metheor Dust was practicing. She could tell that he was sour about her suddenly being chosen as Queen, feeling as if it was her fault. She said good evening to Nara and left, walking down the castle halls in silence. The Ancestors words, Metheors passive aggressive words, Nara's concerns. It all piled up, she knew everything would eventually pop so she had to try her best to ease the tension. At least give Nara something else to shoot for, to follow the Ancestors words.
Eclipsa roamed the empty halls, taking in the decor and more for one of the last times before finally handing over Nara the crown. She looked at some doors though, a pearl polish door with white roses lining the framing. Her heart sank a bit at the sight, forcing herself to look away in shame.
"I'm sorry sister."
