Legends Of The Sky - Luminary: Story 1

This story – a voice from the past, the voice of an entity that tried to find its meaning and understand who it is. The entity's story may be inaccurate, and something is completely fiction, after all, so much time has passed that no griffix can count.

      In the beginning there was nothing. Luminary does not know what happened before him, but he will definitely not forget the moment when he was created. The first thing he saw was the creature. Its fur shone like the moon, his eyes like the sun, and his hair was woven from stars. Creature looked at him with interest, staring at him and touched him. Someone alive would have felt embarrassed or something like that, but Luminary did not feel anything. He just watched it. The creature moved its lips, it seemed to make sounds, but Luminary did not hear it at all. The only thing Luminary had then was vision.

      He saw the creature create an egg. Then Luminary had a sense of touch. It was odd, Luminary for the first time felt the wind on his bare skin and the relief of the earth under his paws. The radiant creature looked happy.

      The third was the hearing, along with the creature from the egg. It seemed to Luminary that he was looking at his reflection. Of course, they were barely similar in appearance, but their insides were almost identical. Luminary then for the first time heard the voice of the first being who called itself Starla. Starla told them everything she knew, she gave them names and taught them to speak. When Dragonclaw spoke, Luminary got a voice.

      When they tasted their first food, Luminary had a sense of smell and taste.

      Then, the picture of the world seemed to him complete.

      As they became more and more, Luminary got thoughts, although rather their similarity. The main thought was about what it means to be alive.

      Luminary suddenly thought that he did not even feel alive. Dragonclaw was born from an egg. Starla was also something alive before the appearance of Luminary, at least it seemed so to him. The Griffix people, the creation of Starla – they are all alive, born of flesh and are Flesh and Bones.

      And Luminary? He has only a physical shell. He was created out of nothing. His emotions are fake, an imitation of what the living feel. He quickly learned what happiness, sadness and anger look like and now only depicts them, he himself does not really feel anything. He does not even have sphirix. He himself can be own sphirix. Luminary, his Spirit, visible only by Starla and Dragonclaw, his real essence can leave the physical shell at anytime, can become anyone and anything.

      How to call himself, Luminary does not know, but to say that he has no sense at all would be untrue. So far, his meaning is to protect the Griffix people, and that's enough. If suddenly all the griffix disappear, Luminary does not know what he will do, but he will try... find a new meaning
