[Lo-W3] Pawtrap
General Appearance:
This "plant" looks like it has one thick trunk growing of which the last bit is bend over. At the bendmark, there is a short branch growing and at the end of the trunk are four more short branches growing, which are roughtly twice the size of the singular branch before.
The trunk is branching out at the bottom and grows dark green leaves there.
Living Environment:
This "plant" is commonly found in forests - all forests, not just the Everfree Forest. In fact, as long as there is some vegetation, this "plant" will find a way to survive. Even better if they are living creatures around.
The Uniqueness of this Plant:
This "plant" is not an actual plant! It is more like a parasite and always needs a host to live off of.
This plant always has some fruit on the bend part of the trunk and tries to lure in living creatures that way. Once someone tries to grab the fruit, the five branches around it will close in and trap the creature. Then, the trunk becomes surprisingly agile and throws the creature over, smashing it to the ground where the roots of the host can devour the creature's magic.
If the creature is too strong to be moved, the "plant" will hold the creature extra tight and steal its magic this way. The strength of the Pawtrap depends on the strength of its host.
The Pawtrap does have roots, but these are not strong enough to feed it on its own. Instead, it actually uses its root to get from one host to another if the wind isn't strong enough.
Usage:
This "plant" is honestly not too useful, but it can prove useful to exhausted Grifix who happen to pass one by and steal its fruit before it can grab them.
Rumors:
Honestly, nobody knows where it gets the fruits from. Some argue its from the critters, others argue it's leftovers from other victims of this "plant".
