This may or may not be the only plant I specifically designed with a medicinical use in mind-

General Appearance:

The Ice Fairy has an S-formed stem with two leaves growing from the base and a flower with six bigger petals and ten thinner petals.
The flower roughly reaches until the knee/elbow of a Grifix's leg with the six bigger petals, making the plant almost a Grifix's leg long.

Living Environment:

This flower likes it cold! So, the colder, the better. As such, they are found mainly in the Empire and become more scarce, the warmer it gets. There have been reports of huge fields of them growing on top of Mount Everhoof. They are still a hassle to find for Empire Grifix.
The Village Grifix are really, really lucky if they manage to find one. Attempts to cultivate it in the Village have so far been unsuccessful.

The Flower:

The flower has 16 petals in total and can be split up into two sections: the inner flower and the outer flower.
The inner flower has 6 darker ice blue petals that become almost white towards the center.
The outer flower has 10 lighter ice blue petals that are long and thin. They stick out behind the inner flower and seem to be mirroring themselves.

The Plant Itself:

The plant is a rather light icy green and consists of one stem and two leaves at the ground.
The stem always forms an S and is a lot sturdier than it looks. Grifix also wonder if this is a mechanism for withstanding the wind better, but they're not too sure about that.
The two leaves have an oval shape with a sharp tip and always grow at the base of the flower. These two are also the only leaves the flower every grows and it will not regrow them, should it ever lose them. However, it also doesn't die if it loses both leaves which makes Grifix theorize that the petals actually are able to do photosynthesis as well.

The Uniqueness of this Plant:

The plant itself is not that special, maybe you could call the petal placement unique, but the Ice Fairy is a goddamn powerhouse when it comes to medicine.

Usage:

The Ice Fairy can do a lot and its effect differ on how you prepare the flower.

But first off, the very boring stuff. Both the Ice Fairy's petals and leaves are also used for tea. A pure Ice Fairy petal tea tastes very sweet and soft, and a pure Ice Fairy leaf tea tastes a bit earthy, but sweet with a hint
of bitterness.
Boiling the leaves will decrease their medical ability up to the point of nullifying them completely.

If you consume the bigger leaf raw, it will mend any stomachaches.
If you dry the leaf before consuming, it will mend any headaches.
If you sprinkle the leaf with a bit of blood (any blood) and consume them, it will mend all kinds of mild aches.
If you mash the leaf and mix it into a paste with water only and apply it to a simple wound (like a scratch, not deep), it will be fully healed.
If you mash the leaf and mix it into a paste with water and blood (any blood) and apply it to a medium bad wound (deep cuts, but not life-threatening), it will be fully healed.

If you take the short thin leaf and eat it raw, you will be fully recovered from the worst cold after a good round of sleep. Taking multiple will make you recover even sooner.
If you dry the leaf before eating it, it will release any joint pain.
If you sprinkle the leaf with a bit of blood (any blood) and eat it, you will be fully recovered after a good round of sleep on the next day.
If you mash the leaf and mix it into a paste and apply it to a scar, the scar will be gone, no matter how bad it may have been. Mixing blood into the paste is optional, but will speed up the healing process.
If you put a leaf inside an open wound that is bound to leave a scar, that wound will not leave a scar. Although putting the leaf into the wound hurts quite a bit.

If you mix bigger and thinner leaves with a ratio of 1:2, mash it and mix into a paste and apply that to your head, it will make hair regrow. Grifix born bald can also grow hair that way (and keep it).
If you mix both leaves with a ratio of 2:1 (big : thin), mash it and mix into a paste and apply that to your hair like a shampoo, it will make grow your hair even faster. A ratio of 3:1 will make your hair shine.
If you mix both leaves with a ratio of 1:4, mash them and mix them into a paste and coat your gems with it, your magic will increase slightly. If you turn the ratio around, the sphirix will temporarily look like a bigger and stronger version of itself.
If you mix both leaves with a ratio of 4:1 and mix them into a paste and coat your hooves in it, they will become even sturdier and shiny.

A legend from ancient times even claims that a thousand full Ice Fairies combined can even make a lost gem grow back.

Rumors & Legends:

The Grifix called it an "Ice Fairy" because it grows in the ice cold and felt especially magical to them with how much it can heal, so they thought of the most magical thing and could only think of a fairy on the top off their heads.
The plant was/is called "Waterfall Flower" by the Village Grifix. There was a short period of time where the flower had been called "Icefall Flower".

Despite knowing they don't die, Grifix are still very hesitant to pluck the ground leaves. They only gather those leaves if they pluck out the entire plant which doesn't happen often.

As for the Legend of A Thousand Waterfalls, the legend tells the story of a young Grifix from the Village in very old times that had once gone into the forest and accidentally stumbled upon a Timberwolf family. The Timberwolf mother, thinking the Grifix posed a threat to them, attacked the Grifix, causing them to lose one gem entirely and having a big scratch on the other two. It strained the Grifix a lot and they were suddenly able to use a lot less magic. They also felt a lot older all of a sudden. They stumbled back home and when their fellow Grifix learned about what had happened, they were devastated and forbid everyone to go out into the forest alone. The Grifix's mother was especially devastated and swore to cure her daughter. She knew about the abilities of the Waterfall Flower and hoped that if she could just combine enough Waterfall Flowers, it would make their gem grow back. So, she set out to find Waterfall Flowers. It took her years to figure out what climate the flower really liked and a very dangerous hike up the Frozen North to gather enough plants.
Eventually, she came home again, after having faced countless of hardships, and started making a paste for her daughter right away. She mixed the entirety of all thousands flowers in there. From the smallest thin leaf to the stem, she didn't cut anything off. Then she applied the paste to her daughter's chest gems and they waited.
To everyone's surprise - including the Grifix themselves - the gem actually started to grow back! And the scratches on the other two gems disappeared! Everyone was relieved and happy to see it actually worked.

Ther's also a really similar story, the Legend Of The Waterfall Field, which also takes place in the Everfree Forest. But in this legend, there had been a young and ambitious warrior tasked to seek out an area further away to check for a certain medicine ingredient that had currently been scarce within the Everfree. On their way back, they got badly injured and lost a leg.
The warrior's captain at that time said he couldn't need any useless warriors and sent him away to the females. But the warrior didn't have the patience to learn sewing and he also wasn't able to sit down the whole day, they needed something they could do.
So, they went back to the captain and asked, "If my leg grows back, will you welcome me back as a warrior again?"
The captain laughed, "If your leg grows back, I will make you my deputy."
Nobody believed the warrior could do that, but they wanted to prove them all wrong. So, they set out to find the Waterfall Flower, hoping that it would be enough to cure his leg. They did find one and applied it to their leg, but nothing happened. They cried and cried about their misfortune and swore to themselves that they would never return before they had managed to grow back their leg.
So, they searched the forest, turned every stone around, looked under every single leaf, but they didn't find any more. They started to search further away, clinging onto their hope of having four legs one day again, and searched and searched until the despair took over completely. They broke down and decided with a heavy heart to return to the village. If the captain didn't accept them for who they were - they had at least survived the wild out there! - then... he didn't know what he'd do, but he would definitely be sad. On their way back, they grew weaker and weaker and when they reached the forest, they were close to collapsing. The warrior took the path of which they thought it would bring them home, but instead they found an entire field of Waterfall Flowers hidden very deeply in the forest.
Then, he collapsed right into the field and only started making their paste to apply in their injured leg the next day. And on the day after that, the warrior could feel how their leg was starting to heal and grow back.
It took over a month, but the warrior could proudly walk back into the Village in all of their four legs. The captain's eyes had almost fallen out when they had seen the warrior, but they had kept their promise and made them deputy.

The Empire Grifix are honestly not sure how much truth those legends hold.
