Stories of the Stars - Prism Oasis I

“Sandstream, darling, please, don’t leave!” Prism Oasis heard, coming from the tent further away. It was the tent that Oasis Sand, her fiancé, lived in. His mother was a bit weird, she always called him “Sandstream” and tried to dress him like a girl. 

Oasis Sand came running out of his family’s tent, and ran towards Prism.

“What’s wrong with your mother, why did she call you that?” Asked Prism.

“Hmph, Sandsteam is my sister, she died before I was born. But mother… forgets that sometimes… and she thinks… I am her…” Oasis Sand tried to act tough at first, but by the end of the sentence, his face was covered in tears. Prism didn’t know what to do.

“Ah… um… come to my tent, I caught a mouse this morning and I haven’t eaten it yet, you can have it… eating always makes me feel better.” 

The two walked into the tent. 

Oasis Sand’s mother came walking out of her tent calling for “Sandstream”, which made Oasis crawl into a darkest corner of the tent, trying to hide.

“Fear not, I won’t let her get you! You can stay here as long as you like. And you won’t even have to come out for food, for I am the best hunter of all! I will always bring you anything you may need. Prism said, laying down the mouse in front of Oasis Sand. She didn’t really understand what was going on, but she knew she was not going to let Oasis get hurt anymore. She would do all it takes to make him happy, and forget about his weird mother.
