Stories of the Stars: Black Sunset I

When she was young, it seemed like she wasn’t taking her job seriously. She used to run from her duties just to play with the other children or have fun in the forest. Even so, she used her status to ask for respect from other grifix. Her sister used to scold her all the time for her behavior, as being a healer was a huge honor and she had to be thankful for that and take things seriously.
But despite the fact that she seemed to superficial, the moment she was faced with the possibility of a grifix dying in the village she didn’t step away from them.
It was an old grifix that fell ill one winter. The healer tried her best to heal that grifix, but the illness was just getting worse. The old grifix was barely breathing and didn’t wake up in days. The healer said that there was nothing to be done for them, but Black Sunset got mad hearing her say such a thing. She wanted to do everything that was possible, and so, at the end, when the Grifix would die, she would know that she did everything she could to save them. She spent alone day and night by the side of that grifix, taking care of them. One day the Grifix woke up, but soon after that they died. But Black Sunset wasn’t sad. She didn’t regret their death. Because she knew that she did everything that was possible. The Grifix died by the will of the Stars.
That’s when she proved to everyone, that no matter what they may think, she dedicated her life to her job. She couldn’t change her personality, but that didn’t mean she didn’t care. From then, they all felt relieved and gladly left their lives in her paws. Cause she would never give up on a life, no matter what.
