Stories of the Stars: Black Sunset II

One winter, an old maid from the Castle fell ill. The Healer was visiting her regularly, but her condition wasn’t getting any better. One day, Black Sunset woke up with the Queen Apprentice, Selenara, at her door. The young mare had tearful eyes and looked at Black Sunset with hope in her eyes. She had personally come to ask her to take care of the old maid. For her, the maid was like a grandmother and she loved her very much. She had met Black Sunset before and she felt like she could trust her. Black Sunset was so impressed by the gesture, as she gathered up her herbs and went at the castle right away. There wasn’t much she could do more than what her mentor did, but she didn’t leave that place anymore. She stood there taking care of the old mare day and night, together with Selenara who didn’t want to leave either. The maid’s condition wasn’t that bad, but Selenara couldn’t help but get worried. Black Sunset understood that and for the sake of both Selenara and the old mare she decided to stay there until she would get better.

In the time they spent together there, the two young girls chatted a lot and soon they befriended each other. The maid would tell them stories and Selenara would help Black Sunset with preparing and administrating the cure. They spent like that a couple days, but for them the time flew by like crazy. And then they were, the maid got better and they all had to go back to their daily duties. But it wasn’t like before. The two young mares started spending more and more time together. When she didn’t have healer duties to attend to, Black Sunset would go at the castle and help Selenara with anything, or they would just spend time together and have fun. They explored the castle together, getting to all sorts of hidden places. They even went to the library and tried to see how high up or down they could go. Strangely, no matter in which side they went, they would always end up back at the platform without having to turn back. They tried to solve the mystery of that place and read the books - but they soon gave up. Anyway, those two were almost inseparable. And soon the once lonely queen would end up surrounded by friends.
