Stories of the Stars: Fuzz II

The old healer wasn’t there, she left to gather herbs from the forest, from a seemingly dangerous place. She was too stubborn to let the young Spring go there. Spring was pretty pissed, but when she saw Fuzz enter the hut her face suddenly switched to an interested and curious look. Fuzz was a shady character and even she couldn’t help being curious about him. Seeing him enter the hut made her even more curious. What could he want from her? As a healer she could tell that there was more to him than just a weird, retired child.

He asked her for the old healer, but she had a feeling it would be better if she heard what he had to say first. After she insisted, Fuzz told her his story and her feeling was confirmed.

“You know… old grifix fear what wields more power than themselves. It is hard for one that has gone through such a long life to trust someone just like that. It is better if Black Sunset and the Queen don’t find out about this… at least yet.” She told him.

“But… wouldn’t it be betrayal if I keep such a secret from them? From the Queen?”

“I see why you think that… but I believe it is for the best. Before we know exactly what your powers are… we should just keep it a secret, ok? Once we find out we can tell the Queen. Otherwise you might get to suffer. They won’t accept you just like that. Hey, cheer up! I’ll do my best to find out exactly why it is that you have those powers. I’ll try to find out if there was any prophecy about this. I’ll even ask the Stars if I get the opportunity. I promise I’ll find an answer for you! But till then, please promise me, that you’ll keep this a secret. I trust you to only do good but the older grifix might not. They might see you as a threat. So please, take care.”

After that Fuzz left the hut, being left with even more questions than before. However, he decided to trust Spring Night. It was her duty after all, to assure the well being of all grifix at all costs. This was definitely the best for him.
