DIV-514: Honeybee (Honeycomb Bee)

In the uneasiness of Starla's departure, grifix tried to find ways to cope with her not being there anymore. Some accepted it and looked forward to the new queen, but they had the same expectations of her as of Starla, a queen with thousands of years of experience. Some refused to accept her reign, and continued to worship Starla as a goddess, who even if she wasn't there anymore, would still watch over them. They refused to follow Beira's orders and rebelled against everything that was "traditional". They retreated in a corner of the Village and would speak ill of the queen every chance they had. They refused to take part in any of the old ceremonies, which, in their words, should have been held by Starla, and not just "a queen". Since she wasn't there, the ceremonies held no value. Amongst those ceremonies there was the Soul Linking ceremony. Refusing marriage, they were not bound by anybody, because Starla was the only one who could bind them. Or so they claimed.

Honeybee and Nile were children of those grifix. Not related by blood, but they were friends since they could remember. Honeybee's mother never had a consistent relationship with a grifix, she would change partners every week, Honeybee didn't even know who her father was. Her mother would always give all her attention to her current partner, which left Honeybee pretty much alone.

A few years later, her mother met a grifix from the other side of the Village, who somehow convinced her to completely change her lifestyle. They married and has Sandy, Honey's sister. But they still gave no attention to Honey, saying they were "busy with the baby". Because of this she would often run back to their old home, and spend time with Nile, who was the only one who could understand her.

Growing up she developed severe attachment issues. She found consistency scary, as it was something she never had, so she would change partners quickly and run from place to place, changing everything when it became too familiar. Nile had been the only constant in her life. They tried dating multiple times but it wasn't meant to be - they weren't meant to be romantic partners. They were simply the closest friends.

He did introduce her to his friends, Spruce, Sun, Spice and Bear. She had a lot of fun with them, and grew close to Spice. Spruce and Sandy got together, and Honey was so happy for them, only for their happiness to be crushed by those insufferable grifix. They all ran away to the Divided Camp, where Honey picked up healing in order to take care of her injured sister and her friend.

There she had a change to settle down and face her fears, even though she had no choice. That way she finally found a happy life with Spice and their friends by her side.

Her birth name was Honeycomb Bee, but she was often nicknamed Honeybee. When they all left the Village, she dropped her old name and remained as Honeybee.
