DIV-530: Tide

Tide was a strong grifix, with unusually stable and powerful magic. He was always up and running around the camp helping others, catching prey, taking care of the forsaken. He was even named to become the Camp chief when the position was open, but he did his very best to get out of it and so Ice became the chief.

Tide had different plans. He was deeply in love with a grifix named Moon, and the two were planning to become parents soon. But when they formed the egg, it was enormous. Any parent would've died trying to sustain such a big egg, but Tide's magic was unusually powerful, with a very strong flow. He never left the egg's side, even though it made him too tired to even stand up. His mate brought him food and magic stimulating plants - they were a Helper with much knowledge about plants, but they were weak, so they had to stay far from the egg as much as possible to avoid it killing them. It was agonizing Tide, but he didn't want to give up. He was going to nourish this egg with his own magic, and hatch whatever was inside of it!

After agonizing months, the egg eventually hatched, and his suffering was over. And how happy the two of them were to see what was inside! Seven lovely cubs! Such a number of grifix in an egg was never heard of. But they had enough love for every one of them!

When the cubs hatched, Tide would carry them on the fluff of his back, all seven cubs being small enough nest in his fluff. But sometimes while walking around, the cubs' claws would dig into his back unexpectedly and make him flinch.
