EMP-437: Shadevine

Shadevine is a young herbalist in the Frozen Empire. She is cheerful and devoted to her values, ready to risk her life anytime needed. 

Shadevine never knew her father, Mantis. She was told that he got into some shady business with Solaris, a plant that herbalists are no longer allowed to work with. He was obsessed with studying the effects that plant had on grifix, and those effects were unfortunately not great. He eventually got killed by a grifix that got addicted to Solaris when he refused to provide the drug to her. Shadevine was just born back then - so she doesn't remember her father. 

The elders in her family wanted nothing to do with her - they were too busy with the lawsuit against Purple Haze's family, the grifix who killed her father. She was told that Haze was mentally ill and she couldn't recognize her own family anymore due to the drugs Mantis gave her. Shadevine couldn't imagine how terrible that must have been for Haze's family.

Because her own relatives were too busy to take care of her, she ended up in the care of her father's old friends. They told her her father's story as it was -  they didn't sugar coat anything. So Shadevine never agreed with her father's actions - he was a bad man. She wanted to be nothing like him. In fact, she was goona be much better! She was gonna abolish corrupted activities like that from the Herbalists Guild!

She grew up following Fallen Grasslands around and playing with her. Shadevine was a few years younger, but the two got along like sisters. Shadevine looked up to Fallen and always followed her around. Fallen was a child of one of Shadevine's caretakers, so the two were always together.

Shadevine decided that when she grows up she will study dangerous plants in order to learn how to protect against them - so that no other grifix will get harmed because of them. Little does she know, her father had a similar resolve when he started out....
