Ceres is a wealthy and highly influential scholar, currently part of the Herbalists Guild. She has a very big reputation linked to studies of high importance made by herbalists. She never does any studies herself, but she supports studies financially and obtains anything the herbalists making the studies ask her for, using her influence in the Frozen Empire to get a hold of anything they might need.
She is extremely picky about the studies she supports: her name is linked to each and every one, so she can’t afford picking one that will fail. Recently, she supported Mantis’s study on Solaris, which ended horribly wrong with him getting killed by Purple Haze, a grifix he got addicted to Solaris. Ceres supported the case against Purple Haze, hoping that proof will emerge of Mantis’s innocence, but the case did nothing but reveal his shady ways of experimenting with the drug, ruining Ceres’s reputation even more. She wasn’t aware of his actions, but she had no way to prove that.
Ceres takes no risks. While many grifix tried to drag her into illegal activities, she refuses to take part in them, even with low chances of being found out. While she didn’t hesitate to ask for the death sentence for Purple Haze in order to clear her own name, she wouldn’t have gotten involved if she knew where Mantis’s study was going. Mantis’s family still tries to ask her for help in the case against Purple Haze, still believing that she will help them drag Purple’s family through dirt, she refuses to talk and collaborate with them any longer.
She is close to the Herbalists Guild headmaster and funds a lot of stuff for the Guild. She is probably the richest and most influential grifix in the guild, and she shows off her status by carrying a magana bird with her all the time.
She has an assistant, Pumpkin Leaf, who is always by her side and running errands for her.
