EMP-496: Eden

Eden is a herbalist in charge of alcohol production. She is in charge of a small group of grifix that produce alcohol for the whole empire. As most fruits and other edible plants are extremely expensive and hard to obtain, even for a herbalist, because they are highly rationed, they rarely have the opportunity to produce wine or other fancy beverages.
They usually gather up any vegetal waste they can find, anything that isn’t poisonous, any plant that can produce alcohol and just mix it all together and add some sugar. This results in a pretty gross drink, but it can be distilled into pure alcohol, which can be sold and mixed with any drink. Cheapest and most common variant is just diluting it in water. While it is a really bland and tasteless drink, sometimes it is all that is available.

Second most common drink is Crystal Sugar Bloom Wine. Still pretty boring but any grifix prefers it over the pure alcohol mixed in water.

These two options are usually always available at the Merchant Nighborhood Offices, making alcohol one of the most available vegetal products in the Empire. Sometimes Eden manages to get her paws on a good batch of grapes or other fancy fruit and produce some fancier wine, and then the lucky grifix who go to the Neighborhood office early might be able to get a glass of such a drink.
