Metheor Dust is very loyal and strong, he has been a warrior for a long time, being the oldest serving warrior. Nothing can stay in his way and he would do anything to protect his queen and his village.
When he was young, he was one of the Queen's personal guards. He knew her well and their relationship blossomed into a beautiful friendship. On his side, however, it became more - he was in love with the queen once he got to know her, not for her beauty or the way most grifix perceived her, but for her sweet, kind and funny personality. As painful as he knew it would be, he confessed and the queen refused him because of her duty. Once that was done, Metheor could finally move on - but his love never truly died out, and he was fully set on remaining chaste for the rest of his life. His extreme loyalty and devotion to the queen took him to the top of the warrior hierarchy, becoming the warrior captain.
Even though he kept loving Nara in secret the whole of his life, he once was approached by a beautiful female and fell in love with her, despite never believing he would be able to fall for anyone but Nara. Together they had a daughter, Silver Wing, but her mother, Lily Leaf, passed soon from a deadly illness - weakened by the birth.
The fact that Lily Leaf approached him was always so strange to him. He was a 50 year old grifix - old and grey by the time of the marriage, and she was a 30 year old, beautiful mare. To him she was young and beautiful, and had no reason to pursue an old grey colt like him. He thought it was absurd - but he gave in, just out of curiosity. He never thought he would actually fall in love with her.
Losing her hurt more than anything in his life, and he was left with a small filly and a crippling fear of ever losing someone again. He is overprotective of Silver Wing, terrified of ever losing his child and last trace of his dear wife. Yet at the same time he could barely look at her for years after her mother's passing - they looked so much alike, and the pain was too raw. So he often left the little filly with his mother-in-law, hoping the pain would go away. But he was never truly able to deal with it, and in the end it left him and Silver Wing with a deep rift between them...
