[Lo-W] Dulce Nube

Background: The Dulce Nube lives in a forest near the frozen empire, this species being a magical species that can produce cotton candy! This bird’s tail is what produces the cotton candy, a special grifix finding the species in their flock in a small part of the forest that is close to a candy store in the empire. The birds are kind and let the grifix touch their tails to get the cotton candy. The forest they live in helps keep the temperature for the cotton candy and the birds at a good temp, having a semi warm climate to the cold.

Mating Ritual: Both birds brush their tails together and they stick together since that’s what cotton candy does, the two birds chirping and singing before they pull apart and the male’s cotton candy sticks to the female and a baby chick will form from the female’s tail, this species cloning themselves as reproduction.

Babies: The chicks are covered in pure fluffy cotton candy. Some grifix say that their cotton candy is too sugary and they prefer for the adult’s cotton candy. The chicks also sometimes die from grifix’s try to take their cotton candy since it isn’t fully developed and the chicks become hypothermic so they never use the chick’s cotton candy anymore after seeing the chicks die. So they leave the chicks to grow and become adults and produce the correct cotton candy! The adults will attack the grifixes if they try to touch the chicks after the incident with a whole nest dying from them taking the babies cotton candy.

Adults: Adults are bigger and produce more cotton candy than chicks, but grifix’s don’t use chick cotton candy anymore. The adults are color coded based on their genders, females are light colored and males are dark colored. The cotton candy is taken off of their tails and the tail will look like a cotton candy stick for a while while the cotton candy grows back on their tails.

-Cotton candy on tail used to serve as desserts for parties or festival treats
