[Lo-W] Vitri Stained Glass Bird
Background: This species is found near frozen ponds and lakes near the Frozen Empire. This elegant species is known for the ability to break ice and turn it to glass with their head feathers. A grifix was going to go ice skating before finding this creature gliding across the iced over pond, using their talons to carve out pieces of ice and take it over to the snow so it can be turned to glass. The birds shine like a stained glass window. The creatures are scared very easily spooked and if they get spooked they will flee and the ice they had turned to glass will melt.
Mating ritual: The male and female both skate around a frozen pond and the ice will form a frozen chick, the male and female both touching their head feathers against the ice chick and the chick is born from ice. Chicks are super fragile, if a female is scared by something and the chick is knocked over during the mating ritual the chick will shatter to pieces and turn back to ice and the ritual will have to start all over again.
Babies: Chicks are fragile so grifix have to be gentle with them and aware of the dangers that could happen to them. When they are first born the chicks are completely white with no color to them until they develop their abilities and feathers that will soon turn colors to look like stain glass.
Adults: Adult feathers on their head are sharp and can be fragile because they use it to tap the ice to make the ice turn to glass. The feathers on the adult's body look like stained glass windows as they shine in the sunlight and moonlight.
