Background: This species lives near The Lost Tribe’s camps, this species unfortunately being a species they kill with arrows so they can use the bird’s feathers and blood for making dye paint that they use for the tribal masks. These birds are very hard to kill though, they can shoot their feathers at their enemies as defense. They stay very hidden in the very tops of the trees so the grifix can’t find them, but due to grifixes being able to fly, they manage to find them and kill them to make the masks.

Diet: they use their head feathers to confuse the prey into submission and confusion. This way it’s easier to grab prey. They enjoy fish and smaller prey due to their long and spindly beak.

Mating ritual: They mate by using their blood feathers and painting a marking on the female’s belly and the blood drips down the female’s feathers, the male using his beak to poke the female’s stomach and she will give birth to lava colored eggs.

Babies: when they are chicks they are fully black, this is so they can blend in with the darkness more. They usually live in a nest their mom made for them in a grotto or a hole. As they start maturing they start growing their important head feathers that distinguish them from other bird species. Their feathers start to become more colored and vibrant.

Adults: As adults they have mostly black feathers but some vibrant colored feathers, as well as their long head feathers that have dots on them. Adults can also fly very high in order to try and get away from grifixes.

Uses:

-Blood for dyeing masks, feathers, and other clothing.

-Feathers for mask

Special traits:

-Head Feathers with dots

-Pastelish blood

-Sharp beak
