Fóntais Fish- short intro

This a type of fish that is specifically found in the frozen empire, evolving from fishes who have to find a way to break the ice by themselves, as they need to swim upstream for the breeding season. The males have an average length of 40 cm and the females with average of 15 cm. The largest male fish spotted is 3 meters long, with a tail that is as big as an adult grifix, only discovered as it breaks off a part of a glacier with ease. Their scales are pale grey in colour and do not reflect light, eyes are big to capture more light that passed through the thick frozen layer of the deep waters.

Their tails are made of a similar texture to that of grifix hooves. Sturdy, hard to break, and somewhat lightweight despite the size. The males of the fish have theirs grow irregularly while the females regularly trim theirs by biting off unnecessary parts. The females trim it in a way that they are able to drag it on the bed of a river where they want to lay eggs at, similar to a rake. The tail is a main factor in their having great strength and enables them to fight off larger predators by slapping their tails against them. However, due to the combat ability of the male fishes, you can only obtain their sharp tails after they die, or by using a paralyzing agent against them. The females are much more easy to catch in comparison due to their small size. 

Living in a cold area plus their eventual extreme activities made them have a body that is made to store fats under their skin and meat (most of the oils are under the skin). These fish's oils are pungent as a result of their carnivorous diet. It's still a good alternative to use it as fuel for an oil lamp or candle (after processing). The male's tail can be processed and used as a beginner knife or dagger for young grifix to use, while the females tail can be used as a comb or an accessory. The meat can be cooked in any way and it has a chewy texture, too bad it has tons of tiny fish bones in them.
