Name: Firefly (Lightning Bug or Glowbug)
Species: Grifix
Bio: Firefly has the ability to glow as bright as a neon glow stick. Her glow will light your way in darkness. Firefly got her name from her egg glowing brightly when her egg was laid by her parents, they literally had to cover the egg in moss so the light wouldn’t blind anyone. When she was born, her whole body was black but parts of her body would glow brightly, she wasn’t sure how she was able to do it, but she was excited to be unique.
When she got older she managed to control her glowing ability and only uses it when she’s in danger to blind someone, or use it during the night which other grifix seem to love that she lights up the camp at night, her light glistening off the cavern rocks and when she’s at Mother’s grave she makes the gems sparkle.
Firefly didn’t want to decide on being a preycatcher or a stable grifix, she decided she wanted to mine the gemstones inside the cave and make them into beautiful pieces of jewelry for other grifix in the camp. But the chief asked her to choose a position so she became a stable grifix to help the sick and elderly, but makes the jewelry on the side to give to others. She sometimes is able to rub her glowing paws against the gems and make them be able to glow as well!^^
