HoV Orb Disease Former Seraphim
Right before the rebellion, one of the house mothers fell ill. She was the one that Columbina was the most fond of. However, Columbina was not allowed to see her after she fell ill. Eventually Columbina found out that her magic grew very weak and her orb corroded to an imperfect shape. The disease was rather well known, and it was known to lead to death if left untreated. The only way to permanently stop the disease's progression was for an angel to intervene, but they wouldn't. And the other house mothers liked it that way, so they didn't want Columbina to ask the angels for help which is why they didn't allow her to see the ill mother.
When Columbina found out she immediately asked the angels for help and stalled the progression of the disease. Columbina however grew very angry with the House Mothers, this was the last drop. If she had known she would've stopped the illness much earlier. This was the moment that she turned against the House Mothers entirely.
After the rebellion, the ill House Mother decided not to leave. She was not involved in the rebellion nor did she support it. But she was imperfect now, she could no longer claim to be a seraphim with such a broken orb. So she fell down to the rank of fallen angel.
While the disease no longer progresses, she remains quite weak. Angels seemed to have become more fond of her now, lurking in her presence quite often but not really doing anything.
