I can see the light at the end of the tunnel... (I can't, but it's good to be delusional, keeps the morale up.)

Primordial Spirits

Also reffered to as draconequui

(not all of them are draconequui but all draconequui are primordial spirits. Draconequui are not a subspecies or anything but some of them may be reffered to as that.)

In the newborn world created by Mortina and Akasha, new aspects of the universe started to contour. Things that can only exist if there is life, things that once there was life will forever exist. Chaos, Malice, Luck... those are just a few of them. Once one was born, a new spirit - a God - took birth. The spirit of Chaos was Discord, the spirit of Malice was Cosmos, the spirit of luck and fortune was Eris, and many more. Those were called the Spirits (or Gods) of Life.

In the first days of this world there was a storm of magic and Being in which all things took birth above this New Earth, and those spirits haunted the world. It all went so fast and as many as took birth in that moment there died, only few have survived and now they’re part of the nature of the world.

In the Grifixverse, draconequui are primordial spirits associated with concepts (like chaos, malice, luck etc.).
Any primordial spirit must have a concept associated with them and a name that represents that concept (it is encouraged that you pick a mythological name).
These beings are older than earth, so they can not represent something that exists because of earth, like nature. They can represent things like growth, flourishing etc. which can be for a spirit associated with nature.
A concept is an abstract idea, and can not be broken down into other concepts (your “concept’ will need to be approved before you are allowed to use it, just to make sure it is a proper concept).

When they were created, each primordial spirit/draconequs had their soul linked to a celestial body from the Solar System (planets, dwarf planets, satellites, meteorites, any celestial body). They had domain over those celestial bodies, but that didn’t mean they resided there or anything. But they had power over those celestial bodies.

Following a great war most of the celestial bodies in the Solar System were destroyed, and the primordial spirits were stripped of their ownership and powers above them. The only one remaining is Discord's planet - Earth, but he has no more power over it. He was by no means the strongest, but he is the only one whose planet remains.

Because the solar system remained empty, it is only a matter of perception about who orbits around who - viewing the world with earth at the centre, it is possible to see the sun orbiting Earth. So in this world - while their orbits are the same as in reality, the Sun is orbiting the Earth - or so it is perceived.
Relative to the Earth, the Sun moves on an ellipse - which has two centers, one is the Earth and the second is "Neant". Neant is the opposite of Existence, an all powerful being. It is in the parallel realm of Neant that certain things are set in, such as fantastic beings, spirits, souls, or even the sphirix.

Appearance

Primordial spirits can have any appearance.

Some of them are draconequui and look similar to Discord, Eris or Cosmos but there is no rule to their appearance.

Bases/references

There are no bases, if you want to create such a character it must be drawn in a style as close as possible to the mlp show style.

For that just provide a sketch/old design and ask MysteriousShine to make a sketch you can use as a base for the reference.

Here's an addition to the magic system... And a new disease (didn't we have enough of those...?)

Magic orbs

Magic orbs are made of condensed magic. Some of the magic that flows out of the magic gems can start condensing into the shape of orbs (even though they are made of condensed magic, just like light beans, they are very different). If a grifix’s orb were to fall off, it would grow back (although it would take multiple months to do so).

Without constant magic flow of a certain power and intensity from the magic gem, the magic orbs start to break down and eventually they may fall and won’t grow back anymore.

Magic Arteries Corrosion

This is a disease that only occurs for grifix with very intense magic flow. There is a certain protein in the magic that can lead to the corrosion of the magic arteries if the flow is very intense. The protein is genetic, and it is transmitted by the same gene that causes a light coat for a grifix. It is very unlikely that this genetic disease will occur on darker coat grifix because they don’t have this gene.

Symptoms:

The arteries corrode and the magic flow starts losing its intensity. Their flow and magic power decreases.

The magic orbs start to become smaller, and they alter their shape to lesser shapes or to irregular ones. Orb system satellites are usually the first to go.

In advanced stages, the orbs will fall off and the magic gem flow will cease to happen. The grifix will have very weak magic.

Treatment:

The effects of the disease can not be reversed permanently, it is chronic. There are ways to slow it down or reverse the effects just slightly, but they are not permanent.

Angel Yokai seem to be able to stop the illness progression - if they want to. Usually they don't.

Everfree Healers:

Everfree Healers go through very strong sudden flows of magic during rituals, prophecies and communicating with the Stars. This leads to the illness occurring even in grifix without magic gems or orbs.

Before the Great Migration, light coated grifix with powerful magic were allowed to become healers. But this disease proved to be a real issue with them. Many died from ruptured magic arteries as a result. When they were able to figure out that darker coated grifix were not suffering from this, light coated grifix stopped taking on the role of Healer.

Summary: it is still true that dark coated grifix are generally stronger, but that is not always true. The disposition for magic arteries corrosion is the reason why stronger light grifix are not allowed to become healers in the Everfree Village.

More entertainment houses...

House of Olympus

Members of the house take on the role and name of characters from ancient pony myths (ancient greek/roman myth character names). They go by the name of the role they chose, but once they leave the house or pass away they can be replaced with somebody new with that same name and role.

The most important roles are harder to get, and come with greater responsibilities. As for minor characters… They are most of the time ignored and chosen by the entertainer, as long as there is nobody else with that name.

Based on their roles, the regular entertainers are split into groups serving the “gods”, which are grifix with more important roles in the house. Twelve of these “gods” form the Council of Olympus. They sit on thrones above the amphitheatre and roleplay the gods. It might look like they are in charge, but at the end of the day, the House Mother Rhea’s word is the one that truly counts. Her throne sits above all the others’.

Hades

A dark grifix in charge of all the beings of the underworld. Grifix under him are called “Underworld Grifix” and they wear dark, gloomy clothing, representing characters of the Underworld.

Aphrodite

Aphrodite is in charge of the seducers of the house, grifix that are gifted with her beauty. They are given a room filled with a special rose flower scent that draws the customers in and induces a form of “love daze”. They bring the most profit for the house.

Artemis

Artemis and her hunters are the guards and protectors of the house. They are a group of females that carry bows and arrows, protecting the house.

Athena

Athena is a wise grifix wearing battle armor. She is known to make very wise decisions, so grifix will often request individual meetings with her where they would bring her offerings in exchange for her wisdom.

Demeter

Demeter, as the goddess of harvest, is fueling the plants of the house with her magic, making them all flourish.

Of course if one were to actually touch those plants they would discover that is not so true… Demeter is actually in charge of a group of plant nymphs (dryads and anthousai) that inhabit the house, disguising themselves as plants.

Poseidon

The one in charge of all the beings from the underwater world. Grifix under him are called “Underwater Grifix” and they wear blue/green clothing, representing characters from water.

Apollo

He is a beautiful grifix in charge of the musicians and writing many of the plays.

Hermes

Hermes is in charge of collecting all the money and information from the House. He delivers it all to Rhea. He is in charge of a small group of grifix that help gather everything. They are spread throughout the house and make sure to pick up any payment other entertainers receive, be it material or information. They are very nosey, they know every bit of juicy information and rumors.

Ares

Ares is the house master of the Circus Maximus, a separate house that is affiliated to the House of Olympus.

Hera

Hera is the “mother” of the house’s children. She is in charge of training and raising new entertainers.

Zeus

Zeus is the king of the Gods, in charge of the “overworld grifix”. The overworld grifix are a group of entertainers wearing light colored and pastel clothing, representing characters from the surface world and the sky.

Hephaestus

Hephaestus is a fiery grifix. He usually appears when he must gift another character with weapons or other important items. (He does not actually make those items, but visitors won’t know that)

Dionysus

Dionysus, as the god of parties and wine, is the one in charge of the servers. Grifix under him are the ones that provide drinks for the visitors of the House.

Appearance

The House of Olympus is built around a central amphitheatre where mythological plays take place. Characters represented by entertainers appear in the plays, but the roleplaying doesn’t end there. No member of the house will ever break character, and visitors can interact with the characters they represent.

The regular entertainers are split into various groups. Most of the entertainers tasked with acting in the plays are split into three groups: the underworld, the overworld and the underwater world, representing the domains of the three brothers (Hades, Zeus and Poseidon).

Around the amphitheatre, the house is built like a labyrinth, so that most visitors would end up walking around and getting distracted by various attractions until they are finally able to find the exit.

The place is designed so that if someone leaves the amphitheatre they are taken around through attractions that make them spend money or end up alone with entertainers that would get involved with them. It’s not with the purpose of trapping them inside but the idea is that they will likely only reach the exit after they spent everything and entertainers took out every piece of information from them through seduction.

Melpomene's House

Melpomene's House is a well renowned Entertainment House, specialising in theatre and musicals. They are known to put on old pony plays, relying on the old Manehattan aesthetic.

While the building is not one of the biggest, it is very distinctive. Inside you will find a grand stage hidden behind a red curtain. Once the curtain falls, the spectacle begins…

Think this will be it for a while, won't be able to do updates for some time

Still, as always, see you next time!
