Hunters Guild

Empire Guild inside The Frozen Empire

Can be home to characters.

In the Frozen North, the whole Empire depends on the food they provide, but it is a dangerous job, for they must adventure in the cold outside the Empire. One wrong step and they could loose their life. One bad hunting expedition and the whole Empire would starve. There is no room for mistakes.

history

One of the original 12 guilds, hes been founded by one of the Empire founders, Jade Hoof, a divided grifix.

The Guild itself has lost all it's influence in the past years, and very few grifix still come to join. If they weren't so important they would long be gone from the 12 council guilds. Despite all that, they still continue to fight the harsh outside for the Empire.

The last few headmasters are the reason the guild lost it's influence, as they were quite bad at managing the guild. Since the new headmaster stepped up two years ago, things seem to go on much better, but it takes more time to recover what was lost.

Despite things looking better, a lot of grifix say they are in fact headed for the worse, because the current headmaster is only 17 years old and has no experience. But despite all that doubt her, she does her job better than anyone could.

Patrons

The patron Goddess of the Hunters Guild is Jade Hoof, the founder of the guild and goddess of hunting and animal sacrifice. From each successful hunt, the hunters leave an animal outside the Empire for animals to feed on. This way they thank to the goddess for blessing them with a successful hunt. They also repay the Mountain this way. From all they take, a small portion will return, to feed the prey.

The Headmaster

Currently Dust Blizzard, she represents the guild in the Council and takes care of everything to run properly in the guild. She became headmaster after her dad's death two years ago. She is still just a child, but in the cruel outside no grifix can rival her. All her decisions ensure the success of the hunt and the safety of the hunters. All hunters who doubted her in the beginning learned to trust her, for their lives were safe in her paws.

Hunters

Common grifix part of the guild. They go on expeditions with the headmaster outside of the Empire in order to hunt and provide food for the whole Empire.

Other grifix

There are a bunch of other grifix that are essential to the guild, but are not part of it.

The Guild's Hall is taken care off by two Merchant grifix, Bloodstained Autumn Haze and Springtime Waterfall, his daughter. They were assigned to work here and provide food and drinks for the hunters after Autumn's wife was imprisoned for murder. The Soldiers Guild intended to imprison them as well, but couldn't find and evidence so they were transferred to the place no merchants wanted to work in, as the Hunters had a terrible reputation of getting drunk and smashing everything and being impossible to deal with.

There is a hot spring somewhere in the mountains, and it’s a very important place for the grifix. They sometimes go there to bath, especially those that work outside the City, like the hunters. The spring is ran by a family of grifix that permanently reside there. They are part of the Merchants Guild. They sometimes return to the City if the winter makes it impossible for them to stay out there. That place is like a second Guild Hall for the hunters, as they stop there to rest almost every expedition.

appearance

The Guild's Neighborhood has been slowly taken over by other growing guilds around it. Currently it is just the Guild Hall with a bunch of dormitories behind it, where the hunters live. When they are now on expeditions, they all hang out in the Guild's Hall together.

underguilds

This guild has no underguilds momentanly.

Outfits

When they go in expeditions, they wear cloaks made of animal skin. Most of them are white, which they dye with blood and other natural dyes. The colors aren't very saturated, so they don't startle prey and still blend in with the snow. They try to wear only herbivores skin, so they don't strartle the prey with the smell. They always keep the head of the animal to cover their own, as a mask. Here's how they look:

When you design a hunter character, make sure you include a version of them with the hunting outfit in the reference. I provide bases which you can use or draw your own, but make sure it's in the same style. You may look for inspiration among the other hunter characters
