EVE-81: Mushroom Soup

The ancient creature Auhoa (Ah-yew-hoah) was a beast leaving alone in a cave. This beast was always hungry and nothing could calm her hunger. But what is the most fearsome thing about her, is that she was feeding with Sphirix. She is a large, similar to a hybrid of a predatory plant and a deer with sharp teeth, can wait a long time when the griffix will fall into its mouth, it can wait a long time, even a decade! In ancient times, this beast was not afraid of anyone and unceremoniously came to the griffix village, and while they were all fussing, it grabbed anyone who fell into its clutches and vines, devoured their sphirix and tore the gems from their chest and crunched them, like a starved wolf crunching bones. It seemed there was nothing that could stop Auhoa, but salvation has appeared rather unexpected. Back in that time, there lived a young grifix, named Mushroom Soup (or Shroomie). One day, when her parents went to the forest to haunt, they encountered Auhoa and she killed them.

Shroomie was heartbroken but there was nothing she could do to bring them back. But she hoped that one day she will find a way to stop Auhoa’s terror and swore to give everything to stop that monster from terrorizing the village, even if it meant her life.

She liked collecting mushrooms, for they were very pretty. She was picking any nice mushroom she found in the forest and brought it to her home. One day she found a new mushroom and took it with her. But in the way back, Auhoa attacked her. She thought it was over for her, but when Auhoa saw a he mushroom she ran away in terror. After that, Shroomie started picking up as many mushrooms of that kind she could find and gave one to every Grifix so they will be safe. At first, the mushrooms seemed to do nothing bad to the grifix, but after she spent so much time around those mushrooms she started feeling their pores getting under her skin and mushrooms started growing on her. She knew there was no going back for her, but perhaps she could still save the village for Auhoa and the mushrooms.

So one night, she gathered all the mushrooms in secret and went to Auhoa’s cave. The monster was sleeping, but it could wake up at any moment. But she wasn’t afraid. She took all the mushrooms and slowly planted them all around the cave entrance. Then watered them. When Auhoa woke up, she could not get out of the cave anymore. The sun and the water made the mushrooms spread and turned into a barrier that was impossible to pass for the monster. Shroomie swore to never leave that place and take care of the mushrooms for a eternity, or for as long as the monster will live. Slowly, as the mushrooms took over her body her magic started linking with them. During the warm season she was carefully watering the mushrooms and keeping the warm, and during the cold season the was using her magic to keep them alive. The mushrooms the grew from her back started spreading pores too, so wherever she went other mushrooms would grow. She never leaves the cave surroundings, for she must not loose sight of the monster, and she doesn’t want to spread the mushrooms through the forest, where other grifix could turn into mushroom-grifix.

Lately, a deer started wandering around there and she soon encountered Shroomie. Since the mushrooms had no effect on deer, they became good friends. Shroomie is very happy to have someone to talk to now and then.

Nowadays, she lives in a hut next to Auhoa's cave which she made with her deer friend Natal. The hut is made out of oak wood and a lot of sticks.

Shroomie loves cooking just like her dad, White Cap.

While her mother, Wedndelina loved clothes and gardening. Shroomie explores the forest searching for new ingredients for her food.

Since grifix can't be seen by ponies, Natal delivers Shroomie's paw made food to the Ponyville. Natal is the only one that knows about Shroomie; every grifix thinks that she is just a myth. With the money Natal gets from Shroomie's food she buys more ingredients for Shroomie's kitchen. Ponies seem to love her cooking!

Cooking:

A hobby she originally dedicated to commemorate her dad, but over time she's grown to like it a lot and loves doing it now.

Singing:

Singing is something she started doing since she was alone a lot and wanted some sounds around her.

Decorating:

Decorating is something her mother loved to do and Shroomie decided to continue that. She's grown into it, but isn't as much into it as cooking.

Swimming:

swimming is a pursuit that relaxes her. Luckily, there's a river nearby.

Exploring:

This comes from her being for too long at the same place. She's still being very careful when she's getting in the direction of the Grifix village and instead heads towards the deer kindgom.

Drawing in the ground:

that's another relaxing hobby. Too bad the images can't stay for too long.

Natal:

It's mostly talking to Natal and going on adventures with her that's her hobby as she handy had another Grifix (or deer) to talk to for ages.
