These mushrooms appeared at some point in the Frozen Empire and started growing on buildings and various places. If you approach them, you may feel colder than usually, as if Aeterna's sphirix's warmth is fading. That is because this fungi feeds of grifix magic residue, and also absorbs the magic from the sphirix in the area close to where it grows. It is believed to have been brought in the Empire by herbalists, but it thrived and escaped outside. It was, however, too long ago to be known for sure.
Consumption has no effects, but it can cause allergic reactions.
Grifix remove it from their homes because long exposure can cause slight sphirix abnormalities and even sphirix diseases, because it will feed on their magic. On the streets, however, it is not dangerous and it is considered quite beautiful and appreciated.
It is seen as a representation of the beautiful idea of death. That once you die, you are being taken care of by something beautiful.
The fully grown form of the fungus is tall and star-shaped, and iridescent. The baby-growing fungus is fuzzy and is also iridescent. The fungus itself produces sparkles and glows in the dark.
