•Transgender
•Tall but not skinny (taller than average pony, close to Cadance, but she has a different body built, more kind of like a stallion. In fact that’s how all zebras are, so she’s not that thin as Cadance)
•Pretty calm
•Thick voice for a female (actually close to Zecora)
•Speaks in rhymes
•Not very chatty
•Not exactly “cute” but she’s really nice as a person

Her personality with other females:
•Never gonna let a friend down
•She is the one that mostly offers emotional support to the other females
•Gonna take care of you no matter what if you’re her friend
•Has a calming presence, even if she says nothing you would find your way out of any situation if you talk to her
•Gives a big sister/motherish feeling sometimes, especially to Pumpkin Wing who is a total crybaby sometimes and need a lot of her emotional support (cause she always ends up with a crush on every possible male being and A LOT of heartbreaking).

Her personality with males:
•A very good friend
•Not very affectionate
•Not so comfortable around them as around females, but she isn’t exactly conscious about it. Just doesn’t act with them as confident as with the girls. Probably wouldn’t spend time with them at all if her female friends wouldn’t.

Older than Timberwoods and his friends, but mostly spends time with them despite being in different classes.

Backstory:
She met Zecora soon after she moved to Farasi. She heard her stories of the far land of Equestria, of Princess Twilight and Ponyville, and of the Friendship School. She wanted to see that place and meet all of those creatures. Despite the fact that the Farasi inhabitants were very accepting and didn’t judge her for who she was, she never felt like she could fit in properly. She wanted to know a new place, a place where a zebra could find magic, a place that had to fight for friendship and peace between the species and where it didn’t come as natural as in Farasi. When she got to high school, she managed to convince her parents and the King to let her move to Equestria and attend the Friendship School. Zecora came with her for a while back in Equestria and let her in charge of her hut for the time she was in Farasi, though she was still visiting quite often.

At the Friendship School Jua finally felt like she could fit in. She made a lot of friends but didn’t got too close to anyone until last year, when a bunch of first years stumbled covered in Joke Plants into Zecora’s Hut when she was helping her. After they cured the four creatures Jua walked to the dorms with them. They didn’t talk much then, but since then one of them, a bat mare, started talking to her every day and they soon became really good friends. The little bat pony was always walking around her talking non stop but it didn’t bother Jua. She was sweet and friendly, but often got her heart broken. She always came to Jua to tell her about who and how broke her heart, crying and sobbing. Jua always felt sorry for her so she offered her all her support. Now Pumpkin needs her more than anything when she’s feeling down.
