GRIFIX LORE UPDATE #28 - Farasi, Oni, House of Truth, etc.

For today we got something special, at last, THE ONI ARE DONE!!! Y'all can freely make oni now if you want to. But first let me start with the lore on Farasi, which has been finally written and added to the location page! This is a much needed introduction to the oni lore, as well as to the other species that live there, which already have completed pages.
Farasi
Farasi is situated on a continent east of Equestria. The kingdom of Farasi is inhabited by 4 species: the zebras, the abada, the kelpies and the oni. Each species has a prince, and together, the 4 princes of Farasi rule the kingdom.
Zebras - they have no magic of their own, but the princes have “blessings” received from the other leaders which allow limited usage of nature powers if needed to protect the citizens.
Abada - they have powers related to earth, air or nature. The powers are unique to each individual. They manifest similar to pony cutie marks and come along with flank marks representative of those powers.
Kelpie - they have water powers, and they usually take a single state of water: liquid, frozen or vapor. Their powers are related to their state.
Oni - they are creatures that can manipulate fire. There are three types of fire an oni can hold: red (hot), blue (cold) or purple (changing).
The Great Eastern Library
Part of the Knowledge Treaty, after the Great Cataclysm the Great Eastern Library was built in Farasi. It is run by zebras, abada, kelpies and oni.
Workers at the library are sworn to secrecy. The library is not a usual public library, for it holds some of the greatest knowledge of the world.
Now it's finally time... Here they are, the oni!
Oni
There are three Oni Subspecies: Akai Oni (Red Oni), Ao Oni (Blue) and Murasaki Oni (Purple). This refers to their fire instead of coat.
Oni can manipulate fire and they have different colors of fire: Red fire is hot, Blue fire is cold but equally destructive, just that you can't feel it until it's too late, or it can suck up all the heat from your body, and Purple Fire that can have it's heat manipulated by the one who caused it, it can become hot or cold, and has much higher and lower temperatures than the red and blue ones.
Red is common, Blue is Rare, Purple is Legendary.
The Oni's coat usually matches the fire but it's not a rule!! They can have entirely different colors. But usually they still match the fire somehow and it is usually easy to tell what fire one has.
Murasaki Oni are very rare and that can lead to conflicts surrounding them, some parents try to keep it hidden if their kid is Purple, while others take pride in it. But usually the kid gets a lot of unwanted attention from it.
Appearance
The body:
They are hooved mammals with aspects similar to ponies. They have a similar body build, but they are slightly stronger and buffer, with angular features. They do not have wings.
Their hooves can be regular uncloven hooves, cloven, or even evolve into dragon-like claws on older oni. Their hooves/claws are usually dark, almost black.
Markings:
Their bodies are covered in markings, and their legs have a color gradient to them.
They have a flank mark similar to a cutie mark, but the marks are not figurative, only abstract.
The head:
They have pointy, downturned ears. Their glabella is very well defined, which makes their eyes naturally frowned.
They have big sharp teeth that come out of their mouths. Their teeth can be white, grey or black.
They have horns anywhere on their head or even other parts of their body. The horns, especially the bigger ones, have color gradients on them (not mandatory but it is more usual like that).
The eyes:
Their sclera is always black. Their iris looks either like a colored ring, or a colored spot. The pupil is the same color as the sclera, but in the case of a dot iris it is not visible.
They usually have an almond-shaped mark on their forehead. Sometimes, they have a third eye there. They may even have extra eyes.
The hair:
Their hair covers their back from their head all the way to their tail. It also covers the shoulders, but doesn’t always connect in the front.
Aging:
Oni do not age like other creatures. They gradually become less pony-looking as they age. Their bodies elongate, their hooves turn to claws, they become larger, stronger, but also wiser. Their tails grow from simple equine tails into long, tufted tails.
Features of older oni:
“Aging” can be caused by high amounts of power as well. Here, for example, the middle example is the Oni Prince of Farasi who is merely 20-30 years old, but has the size of a usual 50 year old oni, because he has more power than the usual oni.

Settlement: Zebrat, Casabronco, other settlements inside Farasi
Relationship with grifix: No grifix interactions.
Relationship with other species: They coexist with Kelpies, Abada and Zebras on the same land, similar to the three types of ponies that live in Equestria. They interact with ponies sometimes.
Clothing and accessories: They often wear golden accessories, but not always.
After the great cataclysm
Settlement: The Great Eastern Library, other settlements inside Farasi.
Relationship with grifix: They take part in knowledge trading with grifix. All the knowledge stores in the Great Eastern Library is set to be eventually sent to the Great Northern Library in the Frozen Empire.
Relationship with other species: They are on good terms with kirin and changelings from the Kirinaria Mercenary Group and with Hippogriffs from the Great Southern Library. They are not on good terms with any creatures outside the Knowledge Treaty.
They coexist with Kelpies and Abada in the same land and settlements.
Clothing and accessories: They often wear golden accessories, but not always.

Now for the last of what we have today, here's some Entertainment Guilts related to yokai figures (which have been introduced in the past):
House of Truth
On the facade of an entertainment house you can find a strange flower - in the middle of its petals it has an icy blue eye, and it whispers at the passing grifix. If you stop to talk to it, it will share its vast wisdom with you, and it might warn you of harm to come, telling you about how to prevent it.
Stories say it grew from the place where a very wise scholar was murdered, and the scholar’s spirit wants to prevent harm from coming to other grifix like it did to them.
It is now placed on a shelf on the facade of an entertainment house. They tried to take the flower inside and profit off its ability, but the flower refused to speak and would only make predictions of harm to happen to the Entertainment House, and those always came true. They concluded that it was best to leave it free for grifix to talk to the flower so they could escape its terrible prophecies.However, the house is still thematically based on the flower and they maintain it, watering it, changing its soil and ensuring its well being. Grifix that come to talk to the flower often stop inside the entertainment house as well, so it is great for their business regardless.
The Knowledge Flower is placed in a niche in the middle of the building's facade, a door placed on each side. If you enter you will find yourself in a small inner yard with the aspect of a well kept garden. In the middle there is a stone arrangement over which a small cascade flows. It is covered in fake moss and at the top lies a golden replica of the knowledge flower.
The engawa surrounding the garden is wide enough for many visitors to rest on, and it is unusually covered with ribbed vaults.
Entertainers here will serve beverages and for the right price you may be welcomed inside one of their rooms... They all have a powerful floral smell to them, one that will lure you in...

The Catfish's Pond
The house is just your regular small entertainment house. Nothing special on the outside, but inside you will find a big tank covering an entire wall, and inside, a Giant Catfish.
The story behind it speaks of an entertainer that once brought a big catfish to the pond in their Entertainment House. They fed it well and it kept growing. Nobody ever found its dead body, but it’s likely that at some point it died and was replaced by a magic manifestation of its memory. It kept growing and now it’s bigger than a grifix.
It stays in the pond and likes to surface for a chat or to beg for food. It has a boisterous personality even if it can be frightening to see such a big fish. It can talk for hours on end and will not really get the hint when grifix are done talking or are uncomfortable. Grifix could leave in the middle of the conversation and it won't notice for a good minute. It doesn't care if they do this, it enjoys any company it can get.
A rumor spread at some point saying that if you throw coins in the Catfish's tank it will give you wisdom... That's all great for the house, cause now the tank is full of money, but the fish is very unlikely to say anything wise. Still, some grifix will take whatever nonsense it is spouting as wisdom. Too bad it is mostly spreading misinformation.
Grifix that grow up in this house all tend to manifest fresh water fish sphirix and sphirix tails.
There can be members of the house that joined later in life and don’t have these traits but all the ones who grew up in the house have them.
It is believed to be the influence of the giant catfish’s magic.
Grifix are also more likely to be born with whiskers if their egg was raised in the house.
Members of this house also seem to absorb the Catfish's positivity, they're all jolly and talkative. Guests feel really welcome in this house, but they might find it hard to get a word in. Perhaps they should just skip it and go straight to the entertainer's chambers…
