All hail to another Great Harvest Holiday that I missed cause I wasn't paying attetion to the time! But worry not. I shall do something for it anyway, even if I am a few days late. I'll introduce a new legend, which revolves around the Great Harvest Holiday!

Click on the titles to go to the respective page, they are links. Still, all the information on the pages can be found in this post, but in the future they might be updated and this page won't be.

THE SPIRIT OF THE GREAT HARVEST HOLIDAY

16-image.png

The legend speaks of a creature with a really long body and a pumpkin instead of head, it haunts the ones who are not doing fun during the holiday.
The legend says that the spirit of the Great Harvest Holiday sometimes goes in disguise as a grifix during the Great Harvest Holiday and checks if the grifix have fun. The disguise looks like a grifix with a pumpkin on its head. If grifix aren't having fun, it gets mad. To show it that you are having fun, if you see it, you gotta give it sweets. Because of this, the little grifix that carries the bag with sweets when treat or treating wears a pumpkin on its head, pretending to be the pumpkin spirit that demands sweets from the grifix.

Think of one of those kids wearing a pumpkin meeting another grifix wearing a pumpkin, even though they should be the only one wearing a pumpkin that night...

The idea belongs to kazoowary, the art is made by MysteriousShine but it is provisory, it may be changed later, as well as the story. But after all, every legend is different depending on who speaks it, so is there really a canon version to it?

Next I shall introduce some of the Entertainment Houses! The first two were created by me (MysteriousShine) but the others were created by other members and I cannot express enough how much I love them! They exceeded any of my expectasions!

!IMPORTANT! The Entertainers Guild underguilds will no longer be called "underguilds", they are now called "houses" cause I find this term to be more suitable.

THE MOONSHADOW CRANE

Headmaster: Nightwater Bay
Members: Swamp Storm, Star Ray, others.

The Moonshadow Crane was always one of the biggest houses in the Entertainers Guild, with a long history. Most grifix will think of this house when the Entertainers Guild is mentioned. Up till recently, it was ran by the Moonshadow Clan, but the last grifix from that claan died around 20 years ago, leaving the house without a headmaster. In this situation, the house was taken over by the oldest, most experienced entertainer there, Nightwater Bay. As a grifix who was born, raised and lived her whole life in the Entertainers Guild, she knew all of the struggles that the entertainers must go through. So naturally, she tried her best to make life easier for the grifix in her house. That also benefited the customers, as the entertainers there were much happier and were able to entertain the guests much better. Now the howse is renewed amongst the Entertainers Guild to be a very safe place to work. The young grifix especially prefer to leave the houses they were born in and join the Moonshadow Crane. It even got some young grifix that decided to join from outside the guild, without being forced, on their own will. That waas something almost unheard of in the Entertainers Guild.

The building of the House is one of the first buildings you see when you enter the Entertainment District. It is an imposing building, painted in dark shades of blue and grey, contrasting with the usual red colors of the Entertainment District, but still blending in, looking as if the District could not exist without it. When you enter the building you will be greeted by younger grifix, that wll guide you to a main room, in which you will meet the entertainers. Depending on the service you ask for, you will be entertained accordingly. Be a good customer and treat the entertainers properly, and maybe you will be allowed to see your favorite entertainer between four shoji - alone, in one room. Beware though, for money isn't the only thing they ask for. The beauty of this dark world of desires will always rob something else from you. Foolish are those who believe this house is only after their wealth. Here you may fall in love, but from one pit to another, you will be pushed off in an endless pit of despair if you aren't wary of what you speak.

The children in this house wear a certain outfit, that tells the guests they are not there to entertain them. They take it off whenever they are ready to become entertainers and their training is done, but regardless of what they might want, the Headmaster will only let them do that once they are 16 years old, for their own good. Here's how the outfit looks:

This outfit is mandatory for Moonshadow Crane grifix under 16, so you must include a version of your grifix wearing in the reference if the grifix fits in that category. You can find bases using this oufit in the base gallery.

THE RED MOON HOUSE

Headmaster: Bloodlust
Members: Daymare Woods, others

The Red Moon house is biggest and most influential House in the Entertainers Guild. It has the most connections and influence of them all, because they earned regular customers from all the important guilds. They clearly chase to earn as much influence as possible, and don't care so much about money despite being the richest house. Rummor says they have a secret sponsor. The headmaster of the Starfell Clan has been seen entering this House many times, but no entertainers seem to have ever performed for him. The House is also full of grifix that were kicked out of the Starfell Clan. Most of those grifix join the Entertainers Guild, as they are not accepted anywhere else, but most of them end up in this house, and it looks like it's agains their will, like they are blackmailed into doing it. There are a lot of suspicions regarding this House, most pointing out to the fact that it would be ran behind the scenes by the Starfell Clan.

The Red Moon House Building is facing the Moonshadow Crane House building, looking as if they are challengeing eachother. The building itself is pained in black and bright red shades. The price is never the same in here, customers arre not treated equally. Based on who you are, they may even offer free entertainment sessions, but if you are a nobody the prices will likely be impossible to afford.

TRINISETTE BOUQUET

Headmaster — Byakuran
Members— Leonotis, other

An entertainer house which is located at some Alley. All members have a flower related name, hence the bouquet name. Having a small amount of performers, not much customers have heard about this house. Considering how small the house it is, it's surprising to see it still running and entertaining returning customers. When you enter the shop, you will be welcomed with a dim environment, along with lingering flower scent. Lead by the sounds of bells jingling, customers will be lead to a huge room where the real deal is. The entrance door is semi-decorated with rare plants which fits the name (the headmaster claims that they are all edible somehow), but the only known way to acquire these plants are through the herbalists guild.

Headmaster, more known as "Gardener", will occasionally be someone who says stories for entertainment. Herbal tea ( if requested, special Flower wine)with relaxing effects, soft spoken and understanding performers, suitable (controlled) ambience, Trinisette Bouquet becomes a place where beings reveal hideous secrets. But be warned, if performers get hurt, wrath of the gardener they shall face.

Customers with money can't meet the performers without the hidden passwords that are hinted during the headmaster's storytelling time. Usually the password is "Hanawaku" (花惑) , as in "Flower Seduce". Of course, anyone who have been to the street more or less have heard about the dark secrets it holds, thus knowing the meaning behind the password. So within the private circle of the house's performers they have a mocking nickname for the patrons, "Fool", since they (at some point) willingly spill secrets to them.

FAFNIR'S TREASURE

Headmaster- Lady Byakko
Members: Relian, Hushen, others

Fafnir's Treasure, or also known as "the House of the Dragon", is a pretty sizeable House found on an open street. The building itself is a large Minka with multiple rooms and the colours are in bright reds, pinks, oranges and yellows. Statues of fierce dragons are placed near the entrance and smaller renditions are situated near doorways and game tables with the largest statue in the middle of the room. Small paper lanterns are used to light up the place. This magnificent building is a place where the greedy seek for unimaginable riches through gambling what they have in a chance to gain more, but things are often not in their favour. Patrons are graciously served food and drinks, as long as you can pay for it. Secrets gets spilled easily if one has enough drinks. It is ruled by the strict housemaster, Lady Byakko. Not much is known about her for she rules from the shadows, and rarely shows up for any event occurring in the House. All things go through her, and she always is aware of what is going on. As based on the name, the House's members are also heavily themed after dragons. They wear elaborate clothing with multiple gold/gem based accessories, with masks of dragon faces to keep an aura of secrecy between patron and member. Also members must have a dragon-like sphirix and stagename, or won't be allowed to join.

House regulated by Dawn-n-Night

Lastly, I observed recently that there are some misunderstandings regarding the way sphirix are named, which made me think of it, so I'll explain a bit how they are named in each settlement:

the everfree Village, the lost tribe, and the frozen empire:

The sphirix in these settlements aren't always named at birth, and their name is whatever the grifix starts calling it. Unually they get a name whenevr the grifix starts talking and names it whatever. That sometimes leads to some weird names, but that's how it is (the same way children name their teddybear). Sometimes though, the parents name the sphirix but that's a bit weird for them to do since they can't see it. In the Everfree Village they can ask the Healer for name suggestions, since the Healer can see it.

the divided grifix camp

There is a strange grifix living deep in the in the Divided Grifix Camp. Grifix normally don't walk that far into the cave, so they don't interract with him. They sometimes bring him food but he seems uninterested in it. He doesn't seem to need that food to survive. They call him the Prophet, but truth is he never gave any prophecies or anything. In fact, he never talks. He is blind, but seems to be able to see sphirix. The Divided grifix bring their new hatched babies to him, and he names their sphirix by writing the name on the ground with a stick.

That is all for this lore update! Hope you enjoyed reading it! See ya next time and have a wonderful time till then!
