Automated Portable Drills are small robots that can drill for a small distance, but thye are quite powerful. While it might be challenging for them to drill in the hardest of materials, they are still much stronger than any paw-operated tools. They run on magic they absorb from the atmosphere, but if needed they can be fueled directly by a grifix.
Miners will usually have one following them around at all times, as they are quite useful for drilling surface holes in harder materials.
