Year of the Lion

During Year of the Lion, Oracle steps down from the throne for a year to recharge her power and gain back her strength because she's always using her magic to protect the village from any magic attacks or magic based creatures, which drains it over time.

A Trifix is chosen to take Oracles place by battle. In the first week of the first month, four Trifix prepare themselves until there is a declared winner. This lasts each week, the four Trifix would battle until there's three winners. Those three finalists then battle in the first month's last week where the winner will take over Oracles place as "Substitute Monarch".

The substitute monarch has the same powers as ruler, except they can not order the royal guards, which will only listen to the Everlasting Guards. They also cannot oversee the Trial of the Ancestors because it is forbidden to recite the oath as a non-royal.

However, Oracle will return to the colony if she gets news that the substitute ruler is being ignorant, arrogant, cocky, and disrespectful. The Wise One keeps watch over the Forbidden Colony as Oracle rests.
