The side gems are upside-down. This will cause the grifix to have paws on left/right side and hooves on the other.

Middle gems and one side gem are upside-down. This will cause the grifix to have paws on one front and one back leg, and hooves on the others. They can't have them on the same side of the body. (see image)

One side gem is upside-down. This will cause the grifix to have on of their legs changed from hoof to paw or paw to hoof. Can be any leg.

The middle gems are upside-down. This will cause the grifix to have paws on back legs and hooves on front legs.

Can occur with any animal. The lizard image is just an example.

This trait is exclusive for Trifix. It is cause by the Stonebite bug infestation.

The different kinds of Stonebite are caused by different subspecies of Stonebite bugs.

While the petrified wood bugs affect the whole wood, the opalized wood bugs only petrify the opalized areas, and the rest of the wood stays normal. If the grifix is infected with both types of bugs, they can get a mix of petrified wood and opalized wood.

Does not refer to hair. It can have hair additional to the fluff.

To not be mistaken for "Fluff Tail". Tail fluffs are just additional chunks of fluff that can be placed on the tail, regardless of tail shape, while "Fluff Tail" means the whole tail is made of fluff.
