Site News

It's been a while since the last lore update, so we got some big stuff to cover.

Let's begin!

Empire traditional foods

Submitted and composed by RubyNoble1

✦ Tokku: A bowl or cup of shaved milk ice made with musk ox milk, traditionally topped with cloudberries and cloudberry syrup. (inspired by Bingsu)

✦ Litsat: A dish consisting of cooked fish (traditionally Salmon) marinated in arctic water (containing salt), Pepper, and parsley leaves. On the side is cooked reindeer moss with parsley.

✦ Ratir: A dish consisting of Arctic Bunny meat cooked with sage. With Reindeer moss seared with sage and parsley.

✦ Askat: A Cloudberry Liqueur, Cloudberry can be processed down into liquor, this became a traditional alcohol for the Grifix later on in the generations, At the same time as Tokku became traditional.

✦ Vinn: A soup consisting of rabbit or arctic owl meat, water, Eskimo potato, reindeer moss, 1 bay leaf, topped with salt, pepper, and Parsley.

✦ Atak: A traditional “medicinal” tea, made up of bearberry, although the taste is good, it is recommended not to drink too much, as it can cause a bit of a stomach ache.

✦ Varin: A snack consisting of fried shrimp with sage, this snack is most enjoyed on a skewer similar to Arin.

✦ Arin: Not to be mistaken with Varin, this savory treat is arctic owl meat marinated in sweet cloudberry syrup and pepper. This is most enjoyed on a skewer.

✦ Lit: A sauerkraut made up of roseroot, traditionally fermented with sage, pepper, and boiled salt water. Put into a jar and sealed by wrapping cloth around it. Then digging a hole and leaving it in there for 18 marked days. (it is recommended to mark the spot it is in).

(Lit, Tokku, Askat, Varin, and Arin are most enjoyed and famously bought on holidays and especially the New Year's Holiday)

Ingredients:

✦ “Butter/oil”: Sea lion fat

✦ Herbs: sage, parsley, eskimo potato, bearberry, roseroot. Grown by the Herbalist Guild, they are plants that grow at the south of the Frozen Empire. The Hunters Guild sometimes find them in their expeditions, but they are mainly supplied by the Herbalists Guild.

✦ Meat: Rabbit, Arctic Owl, Shrimp, and fish from the arctic.

✦ Seafood and fish: obtained through long expeditions made by the Hunters Guild to the Ocean. The Empire is far from the shore, so it takes a very long time to get to somewhere where one can fish, therefore the Hunters catch very big quantities for provisions.

✦ Salmon: can be found in rivers slightly south of the Empire.

✦ Cloudberry, bittersweet and can taste sweeter when turned into syrup. It can also provide Vitamin C. The Herbalists Guild have been able to grow those for a long time, even before they discovered the formula to magically growing plants in the Empire. They also grow naturally around the Empire in the warmer seasons, but even so are hard to find outside. They are however, very important in preventing scurvy so the grifix consume them throughout the year.

✦ Vegetables: Reindeer Moss, also grown by the Herbalists Guild, can also be found outside the Empire.

✦ Musk Ox Milk: can taste sweet. It seems that the Crystal Empire has a consistent drading market with the Musk Oxes. The Miners Guild sometimes obtains Ox Milk as payment for minerals.

✦ Pepper: from the herbalist Guild. It's a relatively new ingredient as they only started growing it recently but it gained a lot of popularity amongst the grifix.

✦ Salt: derived from the arctic ocean water brought by Hunters from their expeditions.

✦ Bay leaf, Parsley, sage,  and Pepper: Hertbalist Guild.

✦ Bearberry has actually adapted to the Artic climate, likewise Cloudberry.

PS: If anybody wants to contribute with foods, it would be very helpful, especially for the other grifix settlements. They will soon be added on the site with artworks, so it would be nice if we would have some for the other settlements as well.

The harpsong House

Regulated by CrystalIzzy77

Patreon/ goddess: Harp Song
Founder: Melody
House Mother: Celtic Harp
Apprentice: Faith

Speciality:

Unlike other houses, which do have almost always music playing in the background, this house is exclusively focused on entertaining their guests with music alone.
The Harpsong House is asociated with the Music Underguild of the Scholars Guild, having a common history and often working together to bring more music to the Empire.
Harpsong Entertainers are thought to play and sing by the more experienced members, mainly by the House Mother, and also have knowledge of crafting musical instruments on their own. Songs played in this house cannot be heard anywhere else in the Empire, as they are written by the Harpsong entertainers. They also play songs from the archives of the Music Guild, archives which contain songs from all over Equestria, being the largest music sheet library from before the Cataclysm. Therefore, in the Harpsong House, you will sometimes be taken back to the days before the Great Cataclysm, where all species in Equestria were living in harmony under the rule of the Great Princess of Twilight. Sometimes they speak of even older times, when the Sun and Moon were reunited after their long parting of 1000 years... Somehow none of those songs seem to mention grifix. One will often find themselves wondering why.

Hierarchy

The House Mother
They are the regulator of the guild, training and raising Entertainers with rich music knowledge. They sometimes recieve older members, but most have been raised in the house since a very young age, like in most entertainment houses.

Instrument Crafters
All members have knowledge in crafting musical instruments, and they usually craft their prefered instrument on their own. However, there are a select few which are masters in instrument crafting and provide guidance to the other Entertainers.

Music Writers
All entertainers can write their own music, but there are a few who prefer just writing over performing. Their songs are often performed by others.

Performers:
Grifix who perform music on a regular base, entertaining the guests.

Note: there are no music "teachers". as with every House, the entertainers are trained by the house Mother and other older grifix. Elders often don't retire, as singing is an activity that can be performed at any age. They do, however, perform less often and spend more time educating the younger ones.

History:

Long ago, deep in the snowy forest, a young grifix hunter got lost from the rest of the patrol. After hours of walking around aimlessly, she sat down in the snow, ready to give into despair. All of a suden, she started to hear sounds in the distance as trees blew and birds chirped. The song of the forest, it was so wonderful, as it gave her the impression that it was the first thing she ever heard. She thought to herself that if she ever comes out alive, she will chase the beauty of sound her whole life.
Suddenly she heard a voice singing in the distance, and upon going closer she saw a beautiful female grifix with flowing mane and tail that looked like music notes, playing the harp in an open field. The young grifix was overwhelmed by the sound, so she grabbed a hollow branch and used a small brace to carve holes in it, creating her first instrument, a flute. She then played it while walking the forest, forgetting all of her fears. The sound travelled over the trees and reached the Expedition Patrol, which followed it until they found the lost grifix, Melody.
When she arrived back in the Empire, Melody left the Hunters Guild and joined the Scholars Guild. Looking through the ancient books in the library, she found a large number of unintelligible sheeets of paper, filled with strange round symbols that sat on lines grouped as five. The symbols remined her of the hair of the mysterious mare she saw in the woods, so she had the idea of playing thise on her fute, and so she discovered they were in fact music sheets.
Upon that discovery, she went to the higher ups and played a couple sheets in order to demonstrate their use, which had been unknown until that point. That's how the Music Underguild of the Scholars Guild was formed, in order to study the large amount of music sheets in the library.
But Melody did not find joy in orderign and classifying pieces of paper. She wanted to spread the joy of music. So she left the Scholars Guild, leaving one of her students in charge of the Music Guild.
She then went to the Entertainment Guild, a dirty place of desire, secrets and corruption. She liked not the reputation of that place, but it was the only place where she could make the music heard. And so she founded the Harpsong House, named after the strange mare in the woods.

Location:

The guild resides in one of the main buildings in the Entertainment Guild, being accessible from the main street. There is a black and white house that contrasts the bright red surroundings of the Entertainment District. A statue on Harp Song thrones in the inner yard of the house, playing the harp, in the same position as Melody saw her in the forest.

Patron Goddess:

Harp Song is the Music Guild and Entertainment Guild's Goddess. Harp Song was once a unicorn that roamed the streets of Equestria playing music in secret due to no one seeming to care for her music, as the times were too troubled back then.

PS: information on the Music Guild's organization will be added soon. Do not mistake the Harpsong Guild with the Music Guild, they are different organizations part of two different parent guilds.

God sphirix pass?

I thought about how one could make a God sphirix work, lorewise. And I actually found a way. Grifix that actually have God sphirix, don't have an animal but a character as their sphirix, a person.

So here's how it works:

Ghosts of all beings roam the Forest of Darkness, the World of Neant, lost, forgotten, forgetting. They have no recollection of their past lives, all memories being forgotten by time itself. They sometimes get hooked by livng beings, attached to them, they remember nothing but the life of that who they follow. They have no sense of self, they believe they follow their own person around.

When one gets hooked by a grifix, sometimes the grifix's magic solidifies around the ghost instead of the grifix's sphirix. That way, the grifix and the ghost both believe they are one and the same, the ghost living as the grifix's sphirix. When that happens, the sphirix is unable to change shape even at a young age, always having the shape of their past self. The sphirix remembers nothing of their old life, being convinced they are in fact the sphirix of that grifix, but it can have a perssonality far different from the girfix, which usually doesn't happen in the case of an actual sphirix.

If you want your grifix to have a god sphirix, this is a way you can do it. However, in most cases you will be asked to provide a design for the sphirix in their past life, alongside a bio. They will be a full right charater part of the grifixverse. They will also have to get approved separately from the grifix.

This can be used by anybody who is allowed to use legendary traits.

If you want the sphirix to have recollections of their past life, you will have to justify it.

Looking for ideas

Here's a couple suggestions that species members submitted, but they are incomplete. If ylou have any ideas on how to elaborate them, please submit them in the #suggestions channel on Discord:

✦ Effects of insanity on the sphirix: marks on the sould of the grifix are reflected on the sphirix. How does one loosing their mind reflect on the sphirix? And could the effects it had on the sphirix reflect on the grifix as well?

✦ New Year’s Day for the Empire: the celebratory events would include traditional snack market, lantern flying (a competiton to see who’s child’s lantern floated up the fastest, the referee would be flying up in the air to see which one was moving the fastest), and a day that would include wearing detailed and intricate clothing and accessories. (this one is close to complete, but if someone could illustrate the traditional clothing it would be amazing)

✦ Special foods for the Empire icluding Walrus, Seal, Narwhal, Penguin meat?

✦ Traditional foods for the Lost Tribe, Divided Grifix Camp, Everfree Village

GRIFIX LORE UPDATE #10 - Special Edition

Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by MysteriousShine

Hello and welcome to the 10th lore update!! The first lore update has been done on 08/27/20, so it's been... exactly 800 days? That's funny. A bit over two years, but I didn't expect it to be such a fun number of days XD

Anyway, I asked all the species members to submit random ideas for this special edition lore update on Discord. All the information will be added in this post and all the people who submitted will receive a special limited item:

<a href=

OLD DRAGON NECKLACE

Category: Event items

Rarity: ✦✦✦✦✦

You found this item in the forest, close to the village. You wore it once and thought of something, which then seemed to... become reality. But that only happened once, now the necklace is useless to you.
You wonder who it belonged to? Does it really have supernatural powers? If so, why can they only be used once?

Uses: Collectible

Source: Given as a reward to users who submitted ideas for the 10th lore update

So, let's begin!

RubyNoble1's SUbmissions:

✦ The same way the Frillback Pigeons came to be through selective breeding, something similar happened to the Starfell Clan. It is quite common that the Starfell Grifix have feather fluffs that look this way.

Frillback Sphirix Wing Alteration

✦ There are some rare vegetables that actually grow in the snowy biome of the Frozen Empire. They are extremely rare. The grifix love them.

✦ Some gems are prominent in the Frozen Empire: amber, seraphinite, and Dendrite Quarts. Amber is used as the symbol of the Frozen Empire since it represents warmness in the freezing cold.

✦ The Grifix in the Frozen Empire are much fluffier and have more feathers especially around the wings since they have adapted to the cold weather over time. They also can have insulated feathers (instead of fluffy feathers they have insulated feathers and fur that allows them to keep their heat in the cold weather).

✦ Shaped Freckles: this is a new trait category which will allow some sort of freckles customisation. However, it will be locked behind this item that you will have to purchase from Wolfsbane's Store. Some shapes will be locked behind special events.
<a href=

SUN STAINED BRUSH

Category: Collectibles

Rarity: ✦✦✦✦✦

This old brush seems to do more than manipulate paint... Selenara told you it belonged to her predecessor, Queen Rosa.

Uses: Unlocks usage of Freckles Shape traits

Purchaseable At: Wolfsbane’s Store

✦ Everfree Village grifix parents tell little myths to their cubs to make them behave, or just have fun seeing them get excited over the information and spreading it around: "If you (inset action) at (location or infront of a random item) during (time), you will be (insert effect which is totally not real, but kids trust it anyways because they are kids)." These are often influenced by the Queen who is reigning at that time. Back in Eclipsa's reign this myth was similar to "standing infront of a lake during an eclipse will make you trip thrice in a row". But there were also myths like "helping with the harvest while wearing a flower on their head during the Great Harvest Holiday will bring you good luck", so that kids can be tricked into helping. In the future, these types of rumours help shape their personality, discipline, etc. The myths are different from family to family, but it also happens that the cubs tell them to eachother and they spread around the Village. Sometimes two different versions of a myth appear and cubs start fighting over which is the true one.

✦ There is a common tradition that if parents place a egg looking rock or object near their egg, it will protect the egg to not be eaten by predators. This variation of Rumours varies in different locations.

The origin of this story is old, from back in the Old Kingdom, when grifix were slightly more exposed to predators and started placing egg shaped rocks near nests to distract them. As grifix settlements evolved, the tradition lost it's original meaning in some places, and changed more to some sort of superstition.

The Divided grifix will Surround their egg with a lot of rocks, almost making some sort of rock bed.

Lost Tribe grifix place moss and leaves on top of the egg to make it in with the surroundings.

Everfree Village grifix place a painted rock near the egg, decorated with the same patterns the egg has. they say they do this to fool the evil spirits that might want to harm the cub inside, so that the evil spirits will attack the rock instead. When the grifix born reaches adulthood through the Sphirix Shape Ceremony, they take the rock that was placed near their egg outside and break it.

JOKE PLANT LANTERN

Category: Collectibles

Rarity: ✦✦✦

Dangerous is this plant to the Grifix species. Because of a certain hair growing event,  the grifix cubs are warned to avoid plants like this.
This lantern has multiple purposes: to be of a thing to fear, or serve as a good light source.
Still, what is it doing here if it is so dangerous? Is that glass really enough to protect you from it's influence?

Uses: Collectible

Purchaseable At: Wolfsbane’s Store

This was all for the 10th lore update, our first milestone! Should we hold events like these every 10 lore updates, or have bigger milestones? It did take us over 2 years to get here, so I think 10 posts is enough.

Either way, see you next time and hope we will reach 20!

Hello and welcome once again! MysteriousShine here. In this lore update I will cover two new underguilds: Yokai no Ie (Entertainers Guild) and The Jewellers Guild (Tailors Guild). I am so glad to see once again people contributing to the lore of the grifix like this!

After that I will cover information on some new traits, but most important STYLES which are a trait category I've been using for a while but people still seem to not understand what they are so maybe I should clarify it in a post.

So, let's begin!

YOKAI NO IE

Headmaster - ???
Members - Akuma, Angelfox, others

Yokai no Ie or House of the Yokai is a Entertainment guild that is centered around myths of strange creatures.

As you walk in the small side alley house you will be welcomed by grifix with animal tails, each having a story to tell. You will sit down at a table in the side of a room and loose yourself in the quiet ambiance. Sweet scents will fill the room and the music of a sanshin will suround you. In the darkness of the room your senses will loose themselves and everything may seem as something it isn't... You are not sure about what you are seeing anymore, believing your eyes deceive you, and maybe they do... cause what are the creatures you are seeing, what are the images that run before your eyes, of fantastic animals that run and shapeshift before your eyes?

A sweet voice begins to tell a story, one you never heard before, and the images play their role, taking you through the story as if you were there to witness it...

The story of a fox who turned into a grifix and fooled a king to fall for her, leading him to his demise...

The story of the snake with a grifix head that emerged from the water and lended a baby to a grifix, only for the baby to turn into a stone and the snake to eat the grifix alive...

With each story you lose yourself deeper in that world, you become unsure of the truth. Cause everything you tought was true would prove to be nothing but a trick in those stories...

You leave, shaken by the stories. You swear to never return. Yet you can't stop thinking about it, and, once again, you find yourself knocking on the doors of the House of the Yokai.

THE JEWELLERS GUILD

Name: The Flame of Aspirita (For short The Aspirita Guild)
Patron/ goddess: Aspirita
Founder: Caritas
Headmistress (Master): Scarlet Lily
Apprentice: SunSong
Specialty: Appraising jewels and gemstones as well as the making of accessories and jewelry.
Members: (to be added)
✦ Personal Merchant (who regulates the stock of gemstones and materials): needs character
✦ Regulator of Mines (Who regulates the trade between the mines): needs character
✦ Multiple students(Of different specific jewelry and accessory crafts): needs character(s)

BACKSTORY:

What started out as a humble under guild not known by many over generations became one of the most respected and known underguilds, receiving commissions from famed customers and their jewelry and accessories worn by important figures in the Empire. They worship Aspirita as their patron goddess and her entrapped gem soul is on display in front of the guild as a reminder of the prosperity and wealth she brought to their expertise. They were once an underguild part of the Craftsman Guild, but when the Tailors Guild split from it they became an underguild of the Tailors Guild instead.

LOCATION:

Their guild is located in a big area, the guild operates more like a luxurious market and so there are specific stalls for certain students and their personalized crafts. These students further their craft under the funding of Master Scarlet Lily who generously lets them live in her guild building as long as they are working hard. Scarlet Lily is noticeable especially in a crowd, with her scarlet red hair and vibrant arctic eyes, as well as the luxurious items she wears. Most of the items she dons are specific gifts from her students to her and in respect of their hard work, she wears them, being the model for their work. It is said among the customers of this guild that if you leave empty-pawed you haven't got any sense, and therefore have no taste in anything fashionable. This guild is most well known for being able to start known trends and adapt to any taste.

PATRON GODDESS

There was a fiery Grifix full of spirit and passion who brought life to a hidden gem in the tailors guild faction. Her mane was as fiery as her spirit and her eyes and bright as the ripples of a lake on a sunny day. Three generations have passed since the fiery phoenixs rise to their business and fame and the Grifix whom work in the guild nowadays worship this Grifix as their patron, their goddess who was generous enough to be their wealth and prosperity. These Grifix work hard day and night because of their unending passion and fiery spirit towards their fervence to their Goddess. They wish to be like her and those who have similar features to her are seen to be a signs from the Grifix as a sign of future prosperity. In the first generation of the guild the fiery spirited Grifix known as Aspirita walked around showing off the items and pieces of the masters work and brought fame to the guilds work. However over time that Grifix grew tired and weary and spoke to her friend the Master that she was tired and could no longer walk around happily. She told her friend that like a Phoenix she would turn into “ashes”. That she would convert herself into a gem and later on come back into the world anew from the “ashes”. The Master did not agree but out of dear love for her close friend, and in a way her goddess, she left the guild on a fateful day with Aspirita and went to an unknown sorcerer who turned Aspirita into a gem alike to her spirit, a Stone of Fire, the gem would pulse like the heartbeat of Aspirita and shone like several stars in the sunny sky. These days however in the third generation of the guild, the heartbeat of the Firestone has gotten slower and dimmer, and the members of the guild pass the stone with sadness and weariness, hoping that someday that their patron will come back.

(The heartbeat in the stone gets slower and dimmer since she is coming back from the “ashes” it represents her “death” of sorts. This the Grifix do not know)

This guild is regulated by RubyNoble1

Thank you RubyNoble for coming up with this aewsome underguild, I think the backstory of it is awesome and hope it will get filled with characters once!

Now I'll go into some new traits and what the Trait Styles are!

NEW TRAITS

Please don't use these posts as notifications for new traits as most new traits are not announced here but on Discord. It's just now and then I add them to lore updates.

EAR LAYERING

51-image.png

Ear layers

WING EXTENSIONS

52-image.png

Sphirix Wing Alteration clarification:

The feathers are shaped in such way that they resemble the wing shape of the sphirix. The wing is NOT the wing of the sphirix animal, it is just altered to have a similar shape.

The image displays a butterfly EXAMPLE. It can be any animal, that is just an example.

Styles

Styles are NOT traits. They do NOT have to be selected or anything like that. They are purely for inspiration.

They are often trait combinations that can look cool together, ideas, all sorts of stuff like that. They can all be found here, and you can always give me more ideas for them. Each of them has listed in the description what traits you must use to obtain that style. The rarity I picked for each is just the highest rarity of the traits it contains.

Again, they are not traits, they are just possible combinations and ideas with the already existing traits.

I'll dump here all the styles that exist for now, you can pick any for inspiration and click on them to see what traits they require. This will NOT be updated so do not use this post for reference in the future.

They also have no specific order. I just copy-pasted them from the visual trait index where you can find them updated whenever you need.

Feel free to trace any of the wings if you want to use them but don't know how to draw them well enough. Or ask me for it if you want to use wings for an animal I didn't make examples for and I'll draw it for u.

I'll make this shorter Lore Update in order to clear some stuff that were left out in the past lore updates, and maybe also clarify some website stuff.

Queen ivy

She is the subject of many legends and stories amongst the Lost Tribe, but those are yet to be revealed to us. Today I shall only tell you about who she was...

TRIBE-137: Ivy

Design by kazoowary, MidnightStar and MysteriousShine

Queen Ivy was a grifix from the Starfell Clan who used her special abilities to make the First Warriors approve of her. She could see sphirix, and wanted to rule the Tribe alone so she wouldn’t spoil her pure blood so she never chose a king.

She was a trickster and tricked the First Warriors into believing she'd be the best for the clan, but once she was in power, she tried to break off all the connections to the First Warriors and to lead the tribe into a better future, but was stopped doing so. In the fear of being betrayed/manipulated again, the First Warriors declared that no queen should ever rule again.

She was a dark spot in the history of the Starfell Clan, but secretly they all admire her. Maybe it is the silent wish for liberation of all grifix that made her name last through the ages, like a faint echo of a prayer for change.

The first children

Ever wondered what happened to the children of the First Warriors? Who were they?

Well the first warriors had two types of children: "legitimate" and "illegitimate" but they obviously didn't call them like that. The illegitimate children were simply... not theirs.

The First Warriors had a bunch of children who's parents were unknown. Some of the first warriors didn't want the others to know who they made a child with so they often asked Bluebell to apply a special lotion on the egg that made it absorb magic from all the grifix around it, and this way the child would take traits from everyone and be, biologically, a child of many. Not all the children on the First Warriors were like that though, but those who were were treated like they weren't anybody's child. Amongst those there was Mossy Peak, Nighttime, Moon Gemstone, Hena and others. The First Warriors used these children to their advantage, promissing to treat them better or reveal who their actual parents were in exchange for various things.

The crystal academy

I'll jump to some Frozen Empire lore now.

Like I mentioned before, the Crystal Empire is a university center in Equestria and contains records of knowledge that has been saved from before the Great Cataclysm.

The university from the Crystal Empire is called the Crystal Academy, and its libraries hold almost all the world's knowledge between their walls. It is only, perhaps, the Frozen Empire's library that hold more knowledge than this.

The Crystal Academy also regulates most of the trades in the Empire, including the trades with the Frozen Empire.

If you want one of your non-grifix characters to attend the Crystal Academy contact MysteriousShine. All sorts of creatures attend the academy so as long as it is not an original species it's likely they'll get accepted in the grifixverse like this :D

Site stuff

Lastly, some updates on website stuff:

- I added a link to download the grifixverse font in Navigation. The font is free to use BUT ONLY fir grifixverse related stuff. Please respect this, I worked a lot on this font. Get it here: GRIFIXVERSE-REGULAR.TTF

- I added the "achievements" prompt section. Usually just having one grifixverse character should assure you to complete at least three achievements. They are usually locked behind completeing other achievements, so there's a certain order you can complete them in. Just check whichever ones you have available: ACHIEVEMENTS (they offer rewards such as limited items, MYO Slots and Star Points or even coupons).

MYO event: Tapestry of Frozen Dreams

Posted 2 years ago :: Last edited 2 years ago by MysteriousShine

IMPORTANT! The event has been moved here. This post is here just for archive purposes.

Twilight Sparkle became the most adorred ruler of Equestria, and once with that the longest period of peace in Equestria began. Twilight united all the nations of the world under friendship and harmony, and Equestria became a place populated by all sorts of creatures. However, that harmony was protected by nothing but a thin layer of stone...

Year 300 after Twilight's corronation, it all fell appart. The three gratest villains of Equestria broke out of their stone prison and set to wreak this world appart, and break harmony once and for all. It was so sudden, and no creature expected it. From the core of this civilization they emerged, in the royal gardens of Canterlot, just a short flight from the throne room. It was all over in a matter of minutes. She was gone, our Queen. She was gone, our Harmony.

*smack!*

The grifix closed the book.

"That means it all ended for us as well in that moment. Our old enemies, the changelings, were back. They could sense us, feel our love, kill us. But that wasn't even the worse part. An enemy like we never saw before, who could feed of the very core of our being: magic. When Tirek emerged, the Queen knew that it was time for us to leave. She summoned to the Everfree the Chief of the Divided and the Guide of the Lost and united the three for the journey. But she came not with us. The Divided felt not worthy to follow us, so they stayed with her, all but a few. One was Jade Hoof, one of the founding grifix of the Empire. But we were not queenless or guideless without Selenara, for great leaders stood ahead of us. The Dark Queen Eclipsa came back from the lost to build the beautiful empire she failed to build during her reign. The eternal Aeterna left the Smokey Mountains to guide us to the promised land. And in front of all, the children of the Sun themselves, in which Selenara and the folk put their trust, Dusk Garden and Silver Scroll, were meant to protect the grifix from the unknown. And so we set on the jouney to the Unknown, to find tthe Promised Empire in the heart of the Frozen Mountains north of the Crystal Empire, the only place untouched by the war, protected by the Crystal Heart."
The Grifix build a new empire in the north, between mountains covered in snow throughout the year. Aeterna's sphirix, the immense roc bird who used to guide the queens to their grave, grows even larger, enough to cover an entire city, and the grifix build their new city inside the sphirix. The magic and the soul of the sphirix keeps the city warm and the sphirix safe from freezing.

✦ ✦ ✦

Hello everyone! I am so glad to finally begin this MYO event, as I have been working on this for almost a full year! This is also the first MYO event on our new website, meaning that the site is fully functional now, and the species has successfully migrated here!
Once with this MYO event I am introducing a new grifix settlement, one that will take us to a new world, in the future of Equestria! But the lore behind this is too big, and too much to introduce at once, so I will introduce just a portion of it for now, and the rest will come in future MYO events!
To begin everything, please make sure to read this, as it will introduce you to this new location and tell you everything you need to know! If you don't read it you'll probably not understand the rest of this post. But don't worry, it's pretty short.
Now that you were introduced to the Frozen Empire, you should know that the Empire is organized in 12 major guilds. This MYO event will allow you to create characters from three of them: The Tailors Guild, The Hunters Guild and the Entertainers Guild.
If you decided what guild you want your grifix to be part of, make sure you read the wiki about their guild! Here they are:

THE TAILORS GUILD ✦ THE HUNTERS GUILD ✦ THE ENTERTAINERS GUILD

A little specification about the Entertainers Guild: you are free to come up with underguilds for this guild and design their headmaster! But they will all have to be approved by MysteriousShine. In fact, know that I encourage this, I really hope someone does come up with more entertainers underguilds.

All hail to another Great Harvest Holiday that I missed cause I wasn't paying attetion to the time! But worry not. I shall do something for it anyway, even if I am a few days late. I'll introduce a new legend, which revolves around the Great Harvest Holiday!

Click on the titles to go to the respective page, they are links. Still, all the information on the pages can be found in this post, but in the future they might be updated and this page won't be.

THE SPIRIT OF THE GREAT HARVEST HOLIDAY

16-image.png

The legend speaks of a creature with a really long body and a pumpkin instead of head, it haunts the ones who are not doing fun during the holiday.
The legend says that the spirit of the Great Harvest Holiday sometimes goes in disguise as a grifix during the Great Harvest Holiday and checks if the grifix have fun. The disguise looks like a grifix with a pumpkin on its head. If grifix aren't having fun, it gets mad. To show it that you are having fun, if you see it, you gotta give it sweets. Because of this, the little grifix that carries the bag with sweets when treat or treating wears a pumpkin on its head, pretending to be the pumpkin spirit that demands sweets from the grifix.

Think of one of those kids wearing a pumpkin meeting another grifix wearing a pumpkin, even though they should be the only one wearing a pumpkin that night...

The idea belongs to kazoowary, the art is made by MysteriousShine but it is provisory, it may be changed later, as well as the story. But after all, every legend is different depending on who speaks it, so is there really a canon version to it?

Next I shall introduce some of the Entertainment Houses! The first two were created by me (MysteriousShine) but the others were created by other members and I cannot express enough how much I love them! They exceeded any of my expectasions!

!IMPORTANT! The Entertainers Guild underguilds will no longer be called "underguilds", they are now called "houses" cause I find this term to be more suitable.

THE MOONSHADOW CRANE

Headmaster: Nightwater Bay
Members: Swamp Storm, Star Ray, others.

The Moonshadow Crane was always one of the biggest houses in the Entertainers Guild, with a long history. Most grifix will think of this house when the Entertainers Guild is mentioned. Up till recently, it was ran by the Moonshadow Clan, but the last grifix from that claan died around 20 years ago, leaving the house without a headmaster. In this situation, the house was taken over by the oldest, most experienced entertainer there, Nightwater Bay. As a grifix who was born, raised and lived her whole life in the Entertainers Guild, she knew all of the struggles that the entertainers must go through. So naturally, she tried her best to make life easier for the grifix in her house. That also benefited the customers, as the entertainers there were much happier and were able to entertain the guests much better. Now the howse is renewed amongst the Entertainers Guild to be a very safe place to work. The young grifix especially prefer to leave the houses they were born in and join the Moonshadow Crane. It even got some young grifix that decided to join from outside the guild, without being forced, on their own will. That waas something almost unheard of in the Entertainers Guild.

The building of the House is one of the first buildings you see when you enter the Entertainment District. It is an imposing building, painted in dark shades of blue and grey, contrasting with the usual red colors of the Entertainment District, but still blending in, looking as if the District could not exist without it. When you enter the building you will be greeted by younger grifix, that wll guide you to a main room, in which you will meet the entertainers. Depending on the service you ask for, you will be entertained accordingly. Be a good customer and treat the entertainers properly, and maybe you will be allowed to see your favorite entertainer between four shoji - alone, in one room. Beware though, for money isn't the only thing they ask for. The beauty of this dark world of desires will always rob something else from you. Foolish are those who believe this house is only after their wealth. Here you may fall in love, but from one pit to another, you will be pushed off in an endless pit of despair if you aren't wary of what you speak.

The children in this house wear a certain outfit, that tells the guests they are not there to entertain them. They take it off whenever they are ready to become entertainers and their training is done, but regardless of what they might want, the Headmaster will only let them do that once they are 16 years old, for their own good. Here's how the outfit looks:

12-image.png

This outfit is mandatory for Moonshadow Crane grifix under 16, so you must include a version of your grifix wearing in the reference if the grifix fits in that category. You can find bases using this oufit in the base gallery.

THE RED MOON HOUSE

Headmaster: Bloodlust
Members: Daymare Woods, others

The Red Moon house is biggest and most influential House in the Entertainers Guild. It has the most connections and influence of them all, because they earned regular customers from all the important guilds. They clearly chase to earn as much influence as possible, and don't care so much about money despite being the richest house. Rummor says they have a secret sponsor. The headmaster of the Starfell Clan has been seen entering this House many times, but no entertainers seem to have ever performed for him. The House is also full of grifix that were kicked out of the Starfell Clan. Most of those grifix join the Entertainers Guild, as they are not accepted anywhere else, but most of them end up in this house, and it looks like it's agains their will, like they are blackmailed into doing it. There are a lot of suspicions regarding this House, most pointing out to the fact that it would be ran behind the scenes by the Starfell Clan.

The Red Moon House Building is facing the Moonshadow Crane House building, looking as if they are challengeing eachother. The building itself is pained in black and bright red shades. The price is never the same in here, customers arre not treated equally. Based on who you are, they may even offer free entertainment sessions, but if you are a nobody the prices will likely be impossible to afford.

TRINISETTE BOUQUET

Headmaster — Byakuran
Members— Leonotis, other

An entertainer house which is located at some Alley. All members have a flower related name, hence the bouquet name. Having a small amount of performers, not much customers have heard about this house. Considering how small the house it is, it's surprising to see it still running and entertaining returning customers. When you enter the shop, you will be welcomed with a dim environment, along with lingering flower scent. Lead by the sounds of bells jingling, customers will be lead to a huge room where the real deal is. The entrance door is semi-decorated with rare plants which fits the name (the headmaster claims that they are all edible somehow), but the only known way to acquire these plants are through the herbalists guild.

Headmaster, more known as "Gardener", will occasionally be someone who says stories for entertainment. Herbal tea ( if requested, special Flower wine)with relaxing effects, soft spoken and understanding performers, suitable (controlled) ambience, Trinisette Bouquet becomes a place where beings reveal hideous secrets. But be warned, if performers get hurt, wrath of the gardener they shall face.

Customers with money can't meet the performers without the hidden passwords that are hinted during the headmaster's storytelling time. Usually the password is "Hanawaku" (花惑) , as in "Flower Seduce". Of course, anyone who have been to the street more or less have heard about the dark secrets it holds, thus knowing the meaning behind the password. So within the private circle of the house's performers they have a mocking nickname for the patrons, "Fool", since they (at some point) willingly spill secrets to them.

House regulated by Emizu_TH

FAFNIR'S TREASURE

Headmaster- Lady Byakko
Members: Relian, Hushen, others

Fafnir's Treasure, or also known as "the House of the Dragon", is a pretty sizeable House found on an open street. The building itself is a large Minka with multiple rooms and the colours are in bright reds, pinks, oranges and yellows. Statues of fierce dragons are placed near the entrance and smaller renditions are situated near doorways and game tables with the largest statue in the middle of the room. Small paper lanterns are used to light up the place. This magnificent building is a place where the greedy seek for unimaginable riches through gambling what they have in a chance to gain more, but things are often not in their favour. Patrons are graciously served food and drinks, as long as you can pay for it. Secrets gets spilled easily if one has enough drinks. It is ruled by the strict housemaster, Lady Byakko. Not much is known about her for she rules from the shadows, and rarely shows up for any event occurring in the House. All things go through her, and she always is aware of what is going on. As based on the name, the House's members are also heavily themed after dragons. They wear elaborate clothing with multiple gold/gem based accessories, with masks of dragon faces to keep an aura of secrecy between patron and member. Also members must have a dragon-like sphirix and stagename, or won't be allowed to join.

House regulated by Dawn-n-Night

Lastly, I observed recently that there are some misunderstandings regarding the way sphirix are named, which made me think of it, so I'll explain a bit how they are named in each settlement:

the everfree Village, the lost tribe, and the frozen empire:

The sphirix in these settlements aren't always named at birth, and their name is whatever the grifix starts calling it. Unually they get a name whenevr the grifix starts talking and names it whatever. That sometimes leads to some weird names, but that's how it is (the same way children name their teddybear). Sometimes though, the parents name the sphirix but that's a bit weird for them to do since they can't see it. In the Everfree Village they can ask the Healer for name suggestions, since the Healer can see it.

the divided grifix camp

There is a strange grifix living deep in the in the Divided Grifix Camp. Grifix normally don't walk that far into the cave, so they don't interract with him. They sometimes bring him food but he seems uninterested in it. He doesn't seem to need that food to survive. They call him the Prophet, but truth is he never gave any prophecies or anything. In fact, he never talks. He is blind, but seems to be able to see sphirix. The Divided grifix bring their new hatched babies to him, and he names their sphirix by writing the name on the ground with a stick.

That is all for this lore update! Hope you enjoyed reading it! See ya next time and have a wonderful time till then!

Hello! It's been a long time since the last lore update, so now I am back with quite a lot of new lore! This is also the first lore update on the site! Yay! Enjoy! :D

✦ ✦ ✦

It was a few years since the death of the First King, Pine. Most of the first warriors were dead as well, and their children forgot of the vow to seek revenge on Starla and the First Village. In a beautiful place besides the sea they settled. The ocean breeze was blowing over the camp, and they could easily catch fish in order to sustain themselves. Nearby on the cliffed shore there were a bunch of caves that were easily accessible most of the time and they could use for cover, but not permanently because the entrance was underwater for eight days every month due to high tides. It was a great place to settle in. They spent a few years there, almost half a lifetime for a grifix, time in which they got used to the nature cycles and built customs upon them. All was great until Yantarka lost herself and her father made them leave to seek for the First Village. But those customs they built back then had not been thrown away. The cycles of the ocean shore will forever guide their journey.

There is a turtle species that visits that shore once every seven years in order to lay eggs. That marks the beginning of the seven-year-calendar for the Lost Tribe. This is a calendar they use to organize their travels, having a couple key-points which mark when and where they should be. Despite the Tribe trying to find something, and therefore trying to cover new places, they still have a couple places they always return to. One of them is the shore they set off from.
The calendar has a year for each of the seven warriors - or so the legend used to say, but every grifix nowadays knows that there are only six First Warriors, so there is one more year in the cycle. That’s why the years are labeled like this, in this order: The Bear Year, The Lizard Year, The Scorpion Year, The Salmon Year, The Owl Year, The Butterfly Year and The Warrior Year.

At the end of the cycle they head back to the Origin Shores, in order to begin the next cycle in the place they started from. Yantarka enters the caves in the cliff right before they are sealed by the tide, and spends eight days there without food or water in order to reconnect with the First Warriors. Most of the times she’s too weakened to get out at the end, so she must be helped by her personal maids from the Starfell Clan, those being the only other grifix allowed to enter the caves, due to their pure blood.

During those eight days, the beach is covered in turtles that come to lay their eggs. The grifix catch each one and engrave tattoos on their shells and paint them with their personal patterns, mostly the same pattern as on their sphirix or their mask. Then they set the turtles free into the ocean. Each grifix hope that they will find their turtle when they return next cycle and that the patterns haven’t faded away. The young grifix often fight over who’s turtle will definitely come back next cycle.
Once the eight days are over and Yantarka returns with a prophecy, the grifix set off once again.

The prophecy Yantarka receives in the cave is gonna determine which way they must travel this time.

LIGHT BEANS?? LIGHT BEANS?????

Now this is a pretty important update about the species. Remember the light beans trait? Well guess what, in fact all grifix have those for a short period of the year, just some have them permanently!

For a short period in spring, the magic of the grifix increases so much as it condenses around their fluffs and forms solid shapes, which is what the light beans are. It takes around two weeks for them to grow, condense, and fall off. They all fall off during the same day, which is known as the Heartfire Holiday (previously Firends’ and Lovers’ Day, I just renamed it).
In the case of grifix that have those permanently, which are those with the “light beans” trait, they still fall off that day, but pretty quickly grow back and stay on during the whole year, and two weeks before the Heartfire Day they may grow bigger.

Now, how do the light beans work? Why do they glow?
They glow because they absorb magic from the air and turn it into light.

What happens with them after they fall off?
Well pretty much nothing. They work exactly like before, still glowing. After a year the glow kind of fades away, but for that year they can be, in fact, used as lights by the grifix.

Wait, the lights hanged around the village… is THAT what they are???
Yes! They are light beans that fell off!

What about the blue ones?
Strangely, the blue light beans seem to change their color to yellow shortly after they fall off, so all the lights in the village are yellow.

So what happens during the Heartfire Holiday with the light beans?
As previously mentioned, the Heartfire Holiday is somehow the equivalent of Valentine’s Day, so it is a day about lovers. The tradition says that the grifix must gift a light bean to the grifix they’re in love with.

The Great Green Orb Magic Celebration

79-image.jpeg

image credit to @/greenskulltok on tiktok

There is a place in the Gorge where the strangest thing can be found. Deep under the Earth, bright lights and luxurious vegetation seems to thrive, in a cave where sunlight can never get. How can such vegetation grow in a place with no sunlight? And what is with the strange green light shining through the whole place? Yet that is not the strangest thing there is. A bright orb of green light is sitting in the middle of the cave, and seems to be the origin of all those strange phenomena. But still, that orb is stranger the more you look at it.
It resembles the most something that defies all explanation: a light bean. The texture and everything when one touches it, is the same as that of a light bean. But how could there be one this big? Not to mention that it’s light never fades, regardless of how many years pass.
But the strangest thing is, it absorbs anything that touches it, anything can be pushed through and enter the orb, for never to come out again. Everything but a grifix. To the grifix touch it is solid and impossible to pass through.
Even stranger is the fact that since it was discovered, a whole new trait started to spread among the Divided Grifix Camp: green light beans.

There are many legends surrounding this object. One, popular among the youngsters, says that it fell off a giant, green grifix eons ago. But the most accepted legend is that it is a portal to the realm of the stars, where the Gods reside.
This led to the Great Green Orb Magic Celebration, a holiday in which all divided grifix travel down to the orb, including the sicker ones, and insert stuff into the orb, mostly food and beautiful rocks, nor even gems if they find any. These are offers to the gods. The sick grifix hope that the gods will acknowledge them and ease their suffering this way.
This holiday is held during the Spring Solstice. The Orb seems to be at its brightest that day.
Some divided grifix also offer their fallen light beans, but for the divided grifix those don’t always grow or fall off normally, so most divided grifix don’t even have light beans to offer, so they compensate with other stuff.

As for what actually lies inside the orb… it is a mystery, but I must say, it must be strongly linked to the history of the grifix.

New Traits: green light beans

Along with the story of the Great Green Orb and new light beans lore, I believe it is the perfect time to introduce green light beans! Here they are:

GREEN LIGHT BEANS (RARE)

EXTENDED GREEN LIGHT BEANS (EPIC)

162-image.png

LEAF LIGHT BEANS (LEGENDARY)

It'll still take a while for all this info to be uploaded on the site, so if this sin't an old post don't bother looking for it ^^"
Until next time, hope you enjoyed!

It’s been a long time since I done this, but we got a bunch of new members so I thought I’d do this, and also go a bit into how can the grifix owners contribute to the lore of the grifixverse

But first let’s talk a bit about some random lore of the divided grifix!

The Sky Burial

I’m still unsure about the ways the Everfree Village and the Lost Tribe bury the dead, but I know exactly what the divided grifix do!

The Grifix live their life taking from nature and from other animals. Any dead body will help another survive. No corpse goes to waste in the gorge, there is always something that will prosper from the dead. Why should the grifix dead be any different? The Divided Grifix take the deceased ones to a high place with a ceremony, and after that they leave the corpse there, covered in whatever flowers they can find in the rocky gorge. If it’s winter, they put rocks they find pretty on the corpse, and a bit of snow, but they don’t cover it. After that they leave, so the vultures and other animals can gather and feed from the corpse. This way, after taking from nature their whole life, they return what they can back to it, as a way of thanking the world for allowing them to live so far.

You may recognize this practice from the Tibetan buddhists, I always found it such an interesting practice. And I believe it fits the divided grifix very well  (though it’s not exactly the same)

The Camp of the Divided Grifix and the Cave Paintings

I went a bit into how the camp of the divided grifix looks, but I’d like to clarify a bit, especially the cave part, since I never drew it completely.

The Camp is mostly a round area, surrounded by tall walls. Some areas are climbable, allowing the grifix to go up the walls (reminder that a lot of divided Grifix don’t have wings, so they aren’t all capable of flight). On one side, the walls don’t close, leaving a part where they can easily walk out. On the opposite side, there’s a cave. The cave entrance goes somehow laterally, and it’s not very big. Exactly opposite of the wall opening there is Nebula’s tombstone, close to the cave entrance, small colorful flag garlands hanging over it. From the cave there is a small spring flowing out. It’s really small, you can easily step over it and it doesn’t even have to be a big step. It flows from the cave out the wall opening, cutting the camp in two. It’s a good source of water, and it flows throughout the year, rarely ever drying. On the walls of the cave there are cave paintings, done by Grifix throughout the ages. Most of them are paintings of Mother, but there are also paintings of Milky Way, Andromeda, Thunder and sometimes Wolf. Mother is portrayed as the main goddess, of death, Milky Way the secondary goddess, of life. Andromeda is the main antagonist of their mythology, but Milky Way is also often portrayed as a negative character. Thunder is a secondary goddess, her persona being connected to the tree of the universe, being somehow a goddess of faith and destiny, but that doesn’t play a very big role in their culture. Wolf is pretty forgotten in their mythology. He does exist, but his persona is mainly ignored and rarely drawn on the walls. All the stories and paintings originated from Wolf, who decided to paint images of Nebula on the cave walls, and then his son, who decided to paint all his family. However, the stories got altered with the generations, even forgotten sometimes. The Grifix tried to come up with an explanation for the images, so they godified the characters in the pictures, thus creating their own mythology.

PS: there are also crystals deeper in the cave!

amino-cb464ce4
Here’s a little illustration of Nebula’s tomb I did a while ago. The cave is right behind those rocks, you can enter from the left, hope this makes it clear eno

Now these are all the lore crumbs I have for now!

But as always, I am always looking for suggestions, ideas, questions or anything that can help expand the lore! There is no way I could’ve come up with all the grifixverse lore on my own. So I’m telling this to everybody, and especially new owners (cause they might bring some fresh stuff), if you have any lore ideas, questions, anything! Please ask. It helps so much with developing the species! Any random question, even if you don’t find it important, can lead to a lot of new stuff! So don’t be shy! I’m always looking for new traditions, legends, holidays for the Grifix, so these are a few of the things you could come up with! Also, I’m reminding all of you that this is the easiest way to earn rights for the species: helping me expand the lore!

But please, ask any of these things on the discord server, it may bring more people into the discussion.

Now that is all for now, see you next time, and have some wonderful holidays!

Hello again! Today I’ll be introducing officially a bunch of new traits that have been actually used before, and also clarify some old ones! I’ll start with the clarifications, leaving the best for the last ^^

1. Spiky hair?

This has kinda been ignored a few times, even by me... but I think I have a better explanation than the old one for this.

Basically, what I meant from the beginning, was that the Grifix have a different hair texture than the ponies. The pony hair is a lot like the human hair, being somehow silky, while the Grifix hair has a texture closer to wool. It has much thinner and dense hairs. This makes it harder to keep untangled so they usually keep it shorter, and naturally it’s not very curly and rather spiky. But there can be exceptions ^^

2. Winter coat

I first introduced this trait hoping that it would get the Grifix protected on Equestria Amino, but that didn’t happen. I kept the winter coat as a thing up till now but people pretty much ignored it and tbh I didn’t quite like it so much myself.

So, from now on, this’ll be an epic trait.

Specifically, all grifix get thicker fur during the winter, but they don’t change it’s colors. If a grifix has this trait, not only do they get thicker fur during the winter, but they also change their fur colors to an animal pattern.

If you want your grifix to have this trait, from now on you’ll have to include it in their reference.

3. Goat nose

This is just a pretty basic trait. It’s Epic. The Grifix would just have a goat nose. You can see the example here:

amino-f033a466

4. Hair fluffs

This is a bit more complicated. The Grifix having this trait do not have hair at all. Instead, they have fluffs covering their head and tail. Those fluffs can’t grow very long and have the same color as the rest of the fluffs. If case the Grifix has a different fluff material, the hair fluffs also have that material. So it can look like they have feather, cloud, smoke etc. hair. But those are actually fluffs.

amino-838bf85a

Examples for this trait on characters (cause some characters already have it):

amino-4ac98628
Has the legendary version
amino-ec3e9300
Has the legendary version, but with feathers

5. Sphirix constellation

In this trait the sphirix has a constellation inside. This is a legendary trait.

Example:

That’s all! There might be a while until I’ll update these traits in the traits wiki, so sorry about that... anyway, see you next time ^^

In the Tribe, there are Grifix with animal names and grifix with plant names... but what about names of unliving things? Why is Soleila named... Soleila (meaning Sun)?

Well the answer to that is... there are grifix with names of unliving things, but they are neither Warriors or Healers! But they are all part of one ancient family, the Starfell Clan. But the story of this family is quite a complicate one and it will take us into some older questions about the Grifix, such as incest.

To begin with, the grifix from the Starfell Clan can only marry grifix from the Starfell Clan. Practically, incest. So now... how did this last for almost 2000 years? Why are they still... living and mostly healthy? Well as you might know, the Grifix breed through magic. They also live naturally in very small communities so incest doesn’t affect them as much. But still, they don’t practice it with their close relatives. It’s weird and they wouldn’t usually do it. So in conclusion to that, the Grifix are not affected by incest but it’s still mostly prohibited for them, out of moral matters.

Going back to our main subject, WHAT is the Starfell Clan?

They are an ancient family descending directly from The Butterfly First Warrior, Bluebell. They take pride in their pure blood and only breed with other Clan grifix. In the Tribe hierarchy, they would be under the healers but their blood legacy earns them a lot of respect. Even though they are neither warriors or healers, they do have a purpose and that is providing pure blood queens and serving the royals. Whenever a new king steps up, they will marry a female from the Starfell Clan, which has been raised especially for that. The other young females of the Clan become servants for the Queen and the Priestess. The Clan is so conservative, as they never show their face in front of a grifix from outside the Clan, excepting the Priestess. If someone else were to see their face, most of the Clan grifix would feel threatened and panic.

But what did the thousands years of incest do to this family? Well one effect is that they are usually more ill than other grifix and their immunity is not very strong. But there is one other effect, which only rarely pops up at the Clan grifix. Sometimes, a grifix is born with a special ability: seeing sphirix. It’s a rare ability but they never know how the tribe would react to it. Some grifix with this ability have been killed by the other grifix, some punished by the First Warriors for having too much power, while others learned to use this ability and rise through the Tribe hierarchy by pleasing the First Warriors. Most of them however... keep it a secret even to fellow Clan grifix.

Their symbol is the crowned eye, a symbol which is only worn by royalty in the Tribe.

amino-0e66cc66
You can see that the King, Queen and Yantarka have this sign on their mask

But what if a Clan grifix falls in love with a grifix who is not from the Clan?

Then they can choose to leave the Clan. They lose their legacy and become a warrior or a healer. They can still keep the crowned eye on their masks or outfits, and even their children can have it.

Unlike other parts of the hierarchy, they do not have a specific outfit, but they always wear something. You can take as example Rust:

amino-f7810dd6

That is pretty much all the info. Wanna make a grifix part of the Starfell Clan? That’s okay but keep in mind that the design and backstory will have to be approved by me, and if they’re not they’ll just become a warrior or healer. Unless you are a co-owner, it’s very unlikely that I will allow you to create one that has the ability to see the sphirix so don’t ask me about that.

The MYO is closed for now, but it’s very likely I will open it again at some point, so look forward to it!

That is all for today, see you soon with some other grifix lore updates!
